SCRIP DIVIDEND SCHEME

In relation to the final dividend for 2009, the price of a new ordinary share under the scrip dividend alternative has been set at 176.26 pence. This is the average of the Company's middle market closing price for the five consecutive dealing days commencing on the ex-dividend date of 19 May 2010.

Shareholders wishing to elect to participate in the scrip dividend scheme may do so either by completing the mandate form which was sent to them on 26 April 2010 and returning it to the Company's registrars, Capita Registrars, Corporate Actions, The Registry, 34 Beckenham Road, Beckenham, Kent BR3 4TU or online at www.capitashareportal.com.

Shareholders who hold their shares in CREST and wish to elect to participate must do so by means of CREST procedures.

All elections to participate in the scrip dividend scheme (whether by completing the mandate form or electronically) must be received by the registrars by no later than 5.00 pm on 17 June 2010.
