Just Group Share Price (JUST)

My discretionary fund manager told me to sell and go to other opportunities shortly after the bid…..I have been treating Just like a cash holding for several months…..I suspected we might get a buying opportunity at better levels and it seems to be approaching rapidly….selling today at 217…..then seeing what happens….will likely drip feed into a tracker for the everything bounce when the war effects fade.

Jatw - I couldn't agree more about the attractiveness of selling prior to completion when the current price is so close to the buy out price. I sold within 1 day of the offer at close to the offer price and that's more than 6 months ago.

Interestingly the CEO agrees - he sold 85% of his holding at 212p in November. He was more often a seller than a buyer anyway but he should know.

I think selling now in the open market and moving on to another opportunity would be attractive still.

There is enough negative in the business update to think the SP would have lost significant ground without the takeover.

As long as BWS does not chicken out the deal will complete relatively soon.

There is v limited value in staying with Just to collect the additional 1-2%

I have sold off now we have reached these levels (215p actually and I switched to Aviva at an entry price of 645p) . The offer price comes down by any dividend so the deal price is already at 219.2p. 2.2p to come if you can get 217 (including the dividend). A 1% gain from here - so as you say exactly like cash.

The SP has moved up a couple of p recently…..there must be indications that the PRA and CMA dont consider this merger problematic and the market is anticipating approval earlier in 2026 than previously thought (the indicative date was only H1 26).

I consider this share like cash at the moment, with a small return but it is beneficial if you think there is a potential for a market sell off. No need to sell in the market unless you see a bargain emerge……
