Auction Technology Group Share Price (ATG)

If I'm reading things correctly, we're now pretty close to re-entering the FTSE 250 at the next reshuffle. Particularly as there will likely be a few deletions from the 100 and 250 cause of takeouts (Intertek, Spire, Tate&Lyle) and NCC (will be much smaller post tender). Another 10% from here and I think it becomes very likely. Should be supportive - I think a few % of tracker buying is usually expected. Next review is 3rd June I think.

Rather modest improvement in trading, nothing more

I think new CEO will go down very well on the roadshow also, so would expect further strength from here... Am back in the black on this, but think a lot more to go, 550-600p in due course. I don't think a bid will get any airtime from the Board south of 550p now.

Auction Technology Group delivered a positive first half, modestly ahead of expectations, with reported revenue up 41.7% to $126.1m, principally reflecting the inclusion of Chairish. On a pro forma constant currency basis, revenue increased 7.9%, driven by strong momentum in Arts & Antiques, partly offset by softer Industrial & Commercial trading. Arts & Antiques was the clear growth engine, with pro forma revenue up 12.5% and GMV up 5% to $0.5bn. The segment benefited from improved buyer experience, higher average item values, stronger take rate and value-added services, particularly atgShip. Good start to the new CEO's tenure. Show's how silly the 400p bid was, we're basically back there already, and think more to go. Now for him to put his hand in his pocket....
