Anyone who has been listening for the last two months knows that the PFS is the first real blueprint for the potential mine. It will answer many questions about how Newcrest see the Ore Body at this time, transport and related costings.
The next piece of information is the Indicated Resource Estimate which will be a subdued figure, general opinion approx 5 million ounces.
So the PFS will point the way forward but the December MRE will put a much larger number of ounces on the board.
I honestly think the usual sell off after news will be very mute this time around. To much coming down the news pipeline.
Chester.
Almost but not quite in the sub 1p club for me.. 1.1p my first buy post E.G. but pre HAD05. Averaged up to 1.55p with 3.5m shares. Got in on a total fluke of an overheard snippet from the person PI's used to love-to-hate SB* (friend, of a friend, of someone who knows him). Right time right place.. still had to do the mental leg work though and commit my money. Held all through various big drops on the way up to 38p. Sold a load in high 20s post Scally, bought a load more at 18 and 16 when the fearful were selling, sold again at 22.4 last week. Still holding 1.4m for the long run into next year and beyond.
*Which has led our anxious watery balloon pumper to believe all sorts of elaborate conspiracy theories in his head about my connections, lol.
'overrun by newbies, nimbies and bimbos.'
Zoro, if there is a choice my vote will go for Bimbos. Stay Safe.
BRYNCUT,Contract Duration
January 2021 - October 2022 These dates are based on Cost Reimbursable with KPI Based Margin which should give us a better time frame of the mine.
spud - I wish! If this was the case and there was even the faintest whiff over another "tier1" nearby, two things would happen:
(a) Australia would enter the Guinness book of records for the biggest gold find in its mining history and (b) GGP would be snapped up within months (possibly weeks) of the find being formalised. NO junior would be allowed to retain pssession of such a find!
Let's stick to what we know!

We were typing simultaneously. Could you go back and superimpose on the drawing behind Callum 3 smaller satellites please?
Lot's of chit chat about takeover's et al. Maybe next year, maybe not.
My tenpenneth worth: The global mining market is M&A pregnant.......when's it going to drop is the big Q. And GGP 'may' get caught up in the cross fire.
I am a LTH in Solg. Painful story and the forum is reduced to a wasteland of bickering and infrequent posts because of the lack of progress/news. Definitely one of the biggest gold/copper finds in recent history...but 8 years and counting now...and still no PFS!! Zzzzzzz.
Meanwhile back where the Lassonde curve rules were overlooked by NCM...we are indeed about a year ahead of where we should be. Everything is falling into place nicely, albeit at a racing pace.
I ask myself, why is this? Why has Sandeep put the pedal to the metal? Cast your mind back to the interview with Callum Baxster over a year ago now(?) where we all commented afterwards about the 3D visuals behind him. It was of course the Havieron motherlode. Ever since, I have wondered if 'they' already knew then, what they were sitting on but had to keep it under wraps and follow procedures. I still believe he's doing this to save Telfer from closing and then having to reopen when Hav came online some time later if progress was at the industry 'normal' pace.
But I also think his instincts tell him that Hav is something special.
So much to come almost weekly for the rest of 2021. This website will become overrun by newbies and nimby's and bimbo's. You will need a filtering system to sort the wheat from the chaff....but it's all for a good cause. I think the record was during GDXJ (hydro's fault) where we experienced 795 posts in 24 hours!
It doesn't help when I am on a plane when SD flashes up on Tuesday....a lot of sifting to do!
The PFS will be a work of art (see NCM's last PFS recently) enjoy dissecting it and watch the posts come in!
God help us when the MRE2 lands!!!!
Enjoy your rest day .........

I see (thanks to a retweet by Paddy) that Andrew Scott will be speaking with Shaun Day this week.
As Paddy poses the question, "Perhaps you could bring up the points made by
@giuliabottaro_ in her article yesterday?
Thanks Paddy! Nicely put! ;-) TT

I remember that hit
At the time it showed me a £10k paper loss
The paper loss this time around is a little bit harder to look at. I assume the drop from £1.50 down to £1 will be much more painful;)
Indeed Canary. Just look at, my favorite comparison, Newcrest Mining growth project, Wofi-Golpu in PNG.
Does anyone know/remember when the Newcrest Mining - Harmony Gold Mining J/V applied for a special mining lease? It was in August 2016!! It still hasn't been approved!!
Compare that with the Havieron Australian jurisdiction!
DYOR & GLA!
Agree WF, it’s important for the novices to realise that they have to do something to make votes happen. All platforms are slightly different. I use HL and Barclays and they act on a private message and I ask for confirmation from them too, which they give.
Tall chap/charta. Re SD and ceo/cfo. That had occurred to me too. If SD thought things weren’t going to well at ggp then he may take the NC option, but from what I hear he is loving it and really starting to put his own culture into the business. So I would say that he wants to make his name at ggp.
He has been very lucky. He was given a pack of cards to play with and so far they are all aces….
The PFS is not the one you should be focused on it’s just the first in what will be a news rich period.
Wait until the JORC update arrives in Dec if you want to see what Havieron is all about.

I put a couple of grand in on top when it dropped to 16, so I’ve taken that back out. Happy to keep my main main lump in and run now
and lets not forget all the bichin whingers going on about the drop from 37p to 16p. they all forget we took a huge hit from 2.2p to 0.6p.
BUT.....the tide has turned now.
Hi, is anyone planning on taking a little off their GGP investment pre PFS or happy that with whatever the outcome, for example - disaster is very unlikely one of those outcomes?
Is this seen as a binary play? I’m happily invested and have near 500k shares but I’ve also seen so many examples on other stocks where it should be good news as it was a dead cert only for the outcome **** up and cause havoc to the share price.
Personal, it will depend how tomorrow goes; if a decent run like the last two sessions, I may take a little of the table (10%) and see what happens.
Still, I’m really looking forward to the results!
Thoughts?
Cheers,
Kev
I was listening to an interview with Ivan from Glencore not so long ago talking about cobalt and so on , and he was saying politicians don't really take account of the fact that it takes between 8 and 12 years on average to get a new mine up to commercial production, depending on the jurisdiction. ( they understand the words , but think they can make it go faster than they are bring told, eternal optimists that they are) Hav is indeed flying along, building the decline and so on prior to the PFS, FS and the decision to mine is quite something. IMO
Double yes i like to fish for salmon and sea trout. Haven’t been out as much as I’d hoped this season though.
Working on ships clashes with seasons lol
Well spotted @thelearner. But it is important (I know this is true with HL) you will need to instruct separately for each account you have with them.
I have ISA
SIPP
SIPP drawdown
Stocks and shares account
All have some GGP, HL seem to only act on instructions per account. I send separate ones for each, trying a 'global' message doesn't always work!
I think each PI will have their own buy out price that would be acceptable to them as an individual; that price would be influenced by such factors as their personal (financial) circumstances at that time, stage of life reached, but perhaps the biggest influencer in my view would naturally be the point at which they joined the GGP journey.
As someone who bought the majority of their holding in the early part of 2017 I would anticipate my expectations would be far lower than someone say who only bought in the last 12-18 months?
Also think when it comes to the crunch, what people say they (think) they would do and what they would actually do, when faced with a buy out price/vote to weigh up, is likely to be markedly different.
That said, I don't see any T/O being a likely scenario in the foreseeable future so it's a moot point. If it's going to happen it won't be for at least 2 to 3 yrs imo.
Generally the nominee account holder will notify you when there is a vote due on any of your holdings. That's certainly the case with mine, interactive investor, through the portfolio corporate actions & voting mailbox. You may have to opt in though.
WelshFalcon - thanks for that post - I have logged in to my HL account - so cannot be setup to be recurring - needs to be done for every AGM or Extraordinary meeting. Text below, and as you say would need to be done well in advance, you can instruct by secure message.
2If you wish to attend a meeting and vote you can be appointed as a proxy by Hargreaves Lansdown Nominees Limited and attend and vote in respect of your holding held on your behalf by Hargreaves Lansdown Nominees Limited. A request to be appointed proxy can be sent to Hargreaves Lansdown by secure message or post. Please note, 5 business days' notice in advance of the date of the meeting is required in order to vote/attend. Alternatively, if you wish to vote without attending the meeting you can send (by secure message or post) a voting instruction to Hargreaves Lansdown and your vote will be forwarded to the company."
IMHO, anything that, in some way at least, helps investors and potential investors understand the mining process, from concept to depletion, is useful, because I continue to be amazed at some people who are, yet are clueless about the very large amount of time involved.
Regarding our own Havieron project, you don't only have to believe me, that this has been, and will continue to be, built at breakneck speed! Sadly, some just don't get it!
Never mind the Price – feel the Volume
Good thinking Coinstarx,
The 3 Month Greatland Gold Share Graph above is shown for a good reason and can be a big help.
It indicates that there may well be a price movement but not the direction.
Last week -
Wednesday – volume - 11,000,000
Thursday – volume - 59,000,000
Friday – volume - 78,000,000
With news next week some big companies could be making deals of 10,000,000 shares a pop.
We will soon know,
Good luck to all.
I reluctantly surrendered to Mr.Lassonde as well.
If only he’d not been so diligent in his work and come up with the rise/plateau/rise instead.
Suppose it doesn’t have the same ring to it.
No matter we’re here now.
After 40 years of investing in various markets, I have never been a believer / fan of charting theories.
Again, after being here for 4 months and learning about "the lassonde curve" I thought , well that's not charting really, it makes complete sense and is quite clearly a pattern that has been repeated many times.
Using LSE this morning I brought up a 3 year chart and the pattern it made was almost identical to the shape which is produced on all information about the curve.
If my eyes do not deceive me, with a small continued rise we will be clearly in the "Finance resolved and Institutions arrive section" and the aftermath of these events is usually quite exciting.
All the best.
