Hi just popped on this feed for the first time I have some money to invest could someone explain to me about what GGP have as I dont have much time to read everyones posts
Kind regards
DGR, I can't disagree with that point of view.
SD has made it clear. He wants to create a multi billion dollar multi asset company. You don't achieve that by selling out your only asset that is likely to go into production in the next couple of years.
"But, but, but he could invest the funds from the sales into progressing other assets"" Yes he could, but that won't achieve what everyone wanting the asset to be sold want it to achieve. The cash from the asset would not be distributed as a special dividend. A special dividend would leave GGP without the asset, or the funds from it. GGP would see the same net result from just giving Hav to Newcrest.
We don't even know how big Hav is going to be and thats the key thing.
"Oh well then just get a royalty as part of the sale" That makes no sense. Why would Newcrest agree to buy the remaining 25/30% so they have 100% and then agree to give a percentage of it back as a royalty.
The only way that makes any sense is for GGP to be bought out completely. And because we have so many other assets as well Newcrest wouldn't give us full value for those, as they wouldn't be able to justify it to their shareholders, and GGP wouldn't sell it for reduced value, as they wouldn't be able to justify it to their shareholders.
That said £2 a share, valuing the whole of GGP at £8.2billion would be acceptable to me
Resipsa: 1.16m to 5.5m shares is correct - I hold more than some, less than others. Shows the opportunity I see in GGP.
Been reading this Board for over 12 months, which has really helped develop my knowledge & signposted other reading/research, which has grown my confidence in this share still further. Buying on the Dips has also helped.
Normally quiet in the background, with only occasional posts, as I can't do a better job than the detailed posts on here from:
Paddy > Hydro > Bamps and so on...
Only contacted the Board today, as there was a discussion around TakeOver possibilities & wanted to put my backing to PI's not rolling over in the event of a TakeOver. I see great opportunities here for GGP re Growth & Dividends.
Wishing all genuine LTHs well for the future. Off to do the tea now & will let far more knowledgeable contributors have their time to post.
Have a great weekend all.

RRR was doing the rounds on Ulog years ago. Repeat do not believe anything on a public bb agendas everywhere. Stick to official
RRR - last NY Eve you said you owned 1.16m shares, you now say you have 5.5m. So you've bought an additional c4.4m in the last 9 months? Even at a lowish average purchase price of 17p, that's a minimum additional spend of £750k, possibly more. Really??
You also said you had invested in other AIM shares now you're saying GGP is your first AIM share investment?
Red Rose Rugby refers to the Womens England Rugby Union Team.
And a great Team at that!
RRR
RRR So what's with the moniker Red Rose Rugby, I take it you support WIGAN
SpadesAspade - I must agree lucky initially, but built my position on a lot of Research, Contacts & Knowledge from people on this Board, who have kindly shared their knowledge for free.
Nothing fishy here - just taking IMO, a calculated risk, which (if i'm correct) will be transformation for my Family & myself.
If i'm wrong - I take the view "Nothing ventured, nothing gained." Looking forward to next week though.

If there is anyone asking Q,s about takeovers , valuations , how they foresee the next two years, or similar , let us know so we do not duplicate.

I am happy to keep adding at the appropriate times and seeing where we are in 3-5 years.
RRR you say "First time investor into Shares/AIM having previously invested primarily in Property & Collective Investments previously".
Then go on to state "I have 5.5m shares (SIPP 3.7m & ISA/Non ISA 1.8m)"
Well you are either already wadded or you were extremely lucky hitting first time with GGP especially accumulating that amount of shares.
I wish you well but something smells a bit fishy about you. I just hope you Reep & Reward after your Risk.
Typo - should of read "their work."
RRR
Jerry, just popped off for a double helping of homemade scotch broth...yum yum.
I suspect that one of the problems we have comes from the consensus (if you listen to Rick Rule, Steve Todoruk et al) that junior miners ultimately aim to be acquired by a larger company for a profit, and this fuels speculation over GGP as we consistently hit the required milestones for this to happen. Unfortunately for this hypothesis, and fortunately for us, our board believe that the Havieron discovery allows GGP to evolve into a miner and buck that trend - hence the SD appointment.

SoundOfSilence - I live in Shropshire & my nearest supermarket is Co - Op.
I don't work for any Supermarket Chain, nor do I belittle anyone who does.
These key workers (like many others) should be thanked for work. IMO.
You've got me confused with someone else. Just want GGP to do well, for everyone invested here.
Roll on Tuesday.

I have no idea who RiskReepReward is.
First time investor into Shares/AIM having previously invested primarily in Property & Collective Investments previously.
Long Term Hold for me & very positive (my main weakness is probably too positive) on GGP.

Just can’t see it yet but, we as we know would get a vote. Would MCM share holders get a vote too? Sorry if it’s a daft question!
Agreed. For me the underlying issue is the lack of transparency. This in itself creates opportunities for those who like to promote and sustain conspiracy theories. Some sunlight might do just as much - if not more - to reduce the opportunities for manipulation of both price and naive market participants.
The legendary Canary Waffler.....
Now THAT brings back memories......
RRR still packing bags in Tesco Express?
Tymers I had an initial target of 34p, but as the story unfolded and the results just kept getting bigger & better, then my target changed. That's why I'm still here. No doubt your target is way above the 38p we hit last Xmas too, or else you wouldn't still be here also. I know we have differing views on certain topics but I wish you all the best in achieving what your goals are in this fabulous company.
RRR your moniker has just reminded me of a poster that used to frequent this BB in the past. RiskReepReward are you one and the same ?
And it's not just about the Share Price....
When you look at the Macro Economic picture, just think about what the Dividend payments could be !! (Smile Emoji)

I’m closing in on a million shares
Willem middlekoop said last year keep buying the dips!
Do as you’re told amateur investors like me
I’ve bought the dips for about a year because I can read the research
This is massive and I’m gonna be f ucking loaded in 18 months!!
Yeeeeeehaaaaaaa
Everyone has a price forget I'm staying until I see ? It's about your target being achieved. If you do not have one then if not this investment the next you will end up down. Greed one of the deadly sins?
Speedy,
No coincidence in mentioning property auctions I guess?
I get the impression you know who I am.
I hope I can rely upon discretion amongst gentlemen.
