But since you mention me yet again, in derogatory fashion, I would remind you that my so say trolling and negativity is to mention that pi’s should always be at least wary of a fundraise, which you all seem to hope is coming.
Best of luck.

And good find hopefully.
Bamps is correct.
Hopefully, it may be worth mentioning that Havieron does not share this problem. It is a contained aquifer of porous rock that is (Bamps tells us) Hypersaline and no ingress of fresh water is expected. The water has been there for centuries and once we are through it, will be far easier to manage.
This is a presentation by Joseph Evert of (Mineright Australia). He is the guy heading the Havieron aquifers solution.
This document tells how he contained a 500 litres per second ingress.
….Yes 500 litres per second.

Aquifer - blah blah - done to death, it's not a problem.
Telfer tailings - also not a problem for us as Newmont sorting it.
Hav - shed loads of gold and copper.
Just waiting on the deal - everything else is just a load of Asparagus.
Best to the long termers - getting close now

Hi SharketMare. It all depends, if the acquisition is a producer. This debate has so many permutations that it could go on and on. I am just saying that GGP are in a position to arrange financing. ATB Speedy
But that is very different to what you originally suggested. If we sign a royalty agreement and then use the cash for an acquisition, we are simply acquiring the target with cash. It would be an insane tactic for a company like ours to take given we're not creating any revenue.
Hi SharketMare. Yes, royalty Cos been doing it for years and banks lending funds to assist mining development. ATB Speedy
Speedy, are you suggesting that we can fund an acquisition with gold in the ground?
Good investment for the BoE 🤣

Hi TT
There was a big difference though DDH accepted that deal on the back of exceptional results of HAD001, they could see an immediate upside to the sp with more drilling. I’m not sure if they still have those 22m shares I doubt it.
Antipa are trying to do this on their own with limited funds, getting closer to a PFS but nowhere near an FS.
It’s the reason Ggp couldn’t have done Havieron on their own, completely different story now.
Interesting to see that Antipa has arranged a drill-for-equity agreement with Topdrill, allowing up to $1 million of drilling services to be paid in shares.
We did similarly with DDH1 Drilling back in 2018, for early drilling at Havieron, when DDH1 agreed to accept part payment of its drill programme fees in the form of shares and warrants in GGP.

Cheers ACE - wish they would hurry it up a little :)but guess a little longer wont hurt
I would not go so far as to say they have "halted" on it. Other than "the sale" side of things possibly slowing things down a little I would suggest it is business as usual and the FS is being worked on as we speak and the DTM may well come in sync with a "sale" announcement.
For me they (the sale and the FS) are two different exercises being worked on by different teams - at the same time.
Not long now 😎
Is Newmont still abiding by the original JV terms for the 70% ownership. Shouldnt we have had a few more steps completed like FS and DTM etc etc and if these are not completed are they in default prior to sale. It certainly seems like they have halted on HV

Sounds like another "drug induced" 70's cartoon show 🤣 maybe "our" 3 bears have been down on HAM's eating mushrooms.
So true Rotherby, but it somewhat reminds me of an episode from the 1970’s cartoon “The Hair Bear Bunch” where once the Zoo keepers went home for the night, Hair Bear, Bubi Bear & Square Bear left to their own devices, ran amok down there at Wonderland Zoo, with nobody except Messers Botch & Peevly to keep em in check.
Even the Zoo’s resident Lion tamers, with their wooden chair’s & proding sticks have downed tools, after yesterday’s criticism by the once supportive audience.
Any suggestions as to who our three Bears here currently are ?
They will bite you hands.
Have just read a reasonable thread, then you hear the animal make noises, and you decide to start feeding the Zoo animals, and the tread goes NOWHERE.
If you cannot stop feeding them I advise others to put posters that feed the animals in the green bin as well.
If you feed the animals then I doubt you have anything real useful to add, you are messing up the threads as much as the animals you are playing with, if you want to play go elsewhere.

SAB - I completely agree, which is why I aren't remotely bothered about the SP today.
Hi James, when we get the RNS to say we are purchasing Telfer and the 70% and the strategy, I expect instant double digits. We may pick up again on Friday if GDXJ acquire a few more mill. The SP is frustrating , but we all have a fair idea of what is coming! Hold for Gold.
We've been there before, therefore wouldn't surprise me if it happened again pre-news. If we see the 5's should we own 100% of Havieron and Telfer, then we have a problem.
Don’t think anybody wants to see the 5’s!

The potential to increase its exposure to copper “was a fundamental premise” behind Newmont’s initial approach to Newcrest two years ago, said Palmer.
Analysts have warned for some time of a looming copper supply deficit, with global consultancy McKinsey projecting that output will fall 6.5 million tonnes short of demand by 2031.
Palmer commented in his speech that while demand projections were driven largely by the energy transition and widespread electrification, a new driver was rapidly emerging in the form of artificial intelligence (AI) and data centres.
“[It’s been] quite remarkable to look back over the last couple of years and to see that move in AI. We didn’t see two years ago that it would put further demand on copper,” he said.
“Our project pipeline is all copper. What we’re going to bring on in copper will then start to complement the gold we’re producing, [which] will further strengthen our business.”

I do not think you did - it was a good post. As I said they will not be getting any of mine.
Apologies, should have read "sellmethispen.
Ellmethispen,
16:56 today
"Interesting to note that the amount of sells significantly outweighs the buys yet the share price has held up very well! Perhaps that is because they are being mopped up in the background and the buyer still wants some more!"
Yes, I agree with you, looking at it from the outside it does appear interesting, maybe even odd.
On face value, we are presented with "determined" buys and sells.
They are all transactions - if you want to buy 100 shares and I want to sell 100 shares and our prices match, especially at auction stages - what will that transaction be declared as, a buy or a sell? It's my understanding that when that trade takes place the current price will determine what it is. If our agreement price is below the current price it will be noted as a buy and vice-versa. It's worth bearing in mind that the "current price" is simply a searching point created by the algorithm. As for a buyer still wanting more - I think that will be dark pool transactions. Volumes don't suggest a big order.
Of course, I'm not suggesting you don't already know this but it might be helpful for others who are not familiar with the workings. No doubt AI is playing a big part in transactions now too.
We have over 5 Billion shares and the volume of buys and sells today do not move the SP, not even by the tiniest amount.
For those who would like to get a better understanding I would suggest looking at sites such as Investopedia, Centerpoint and Quantmatter, there's loads of others too of course. Investopedia was my starting point - nice and easy.
If anyone would like to get a grasp of the exploration, discovery, mining and the methods of such, then without a doubt Bamps21 is the go-to man on here. The guy is dedicated and it's blatantly obvious, to me at least, he is at the top of his game. His info is accurate, his opinions and views are built on the solid foundations of his research.
Legend has it that Mr Day has at times been perplexed by the knowledge behind questions raised by Bamps21. That's got to be good surely.
I had posted my comment about the share trades because I thought it was interesting and relevant, also had wanted to move the conversation away from the constant bickering that seems to have infected this board. On this point I seem to have failed miserably 😢
Slowly but surely taking everything they can while they can - except mine and a fair few others.

Hi Bamps,
Think Ace was just messing around lightheartedly,in amongst the other stuff. My fault.Sorry.
Hi Ace
I don’t think your rumours are correct.
The Telfer dams aren’t ready , we know they have only just got going on the fix in the last couple of weeks.
There is activity around the ponds and future ROM pad but the sat images aren’t clear enough. If there is waste rock coming out it will be from the raise bore vents but I understood those to be complete.
I heard a rumour the decline has started again and the dam has been fixed.

Thank you MF11 - being a total novice on all things such as this you have helped me get a better understanding of how it works.
@Hopefullygold - As Sureasblazes states, pretty much no change expected for the current rebalance: -
Our current weighting is 0.42%, the rebalance announcement was 0.42% so no change.
In order to explain this lack of movement, please see comments below.
1. Over the past quarter all constituents have gone up by an average of 12.87% (GGP 13.53% so very similar). Being similar means that any money flowing into and out of the fund would have likely bought/sold the same amount of shares as would have ocuured if it was done in a single tranasaction at close of quarter (the reason for the rebalance)
2. Over the past quarter there has been a small outflow of funds from the GDXJ (people selling), less than 1% of total held. Hence a minor reduction of shares held in most constituents.
3. The free float (number of shares not held by insiders or holders with holdings over 3%) has changed for many of the constituents. A larger free float would necessitate the Fund to buy more, a smaller free float less. GGP's free float remains unchanged.
4. The top 5 constituents of the GDXJ should not exceed 30% of the fund at rebalance/reweighting, hence their weighting reduction. The current weighting of this top 5 is approx 32% of the fund, so 2% (around $100 Million USD) should be released to spread over all other constituents.
4.a. I did expect this to have a positive affect on GGP and increase our weighting slightly, however, it does not seem to have impacted it. If it does when the rebalance takes place it my need a purchase of around 6 Million shares.
So to confirm, there is no change in weighting, and no significant purchase/sale of GGP shares expected on Friday.
Reweighting balance remains the same. No substantial change anticipated. May take a few mill more, will have to wait and see.
MF11 what is the rebalancing numbers?
Yes, we will learn our new weighting tonight which will help us work out whether it is likely to be a buy or sell of shares during the rebalance.
As it stands I believe the rebalance will necessitate an addition of shares by the fund, but would like to see the announcement first.
