You may not want to answer this one but I’ll ask. At some stage I imagine you may be in a position to sell all or some of your gold in Switzerland. Is there a mechanism to repatriate the cash? I imagine HMRC would be very interested in what could be a substantial sum crossing the border even electronically. Otherwise I’m imagining the scene in the Wolf of Wall Street where one of the crims tapes up his girlfriend with giant wedges of cash!

Picked the other half up from the airport last night after being away for three weeks dealing with family issues abroad. Whilst she was away, I tackled several odd jobs including a big repair of the garden fence and replacing the w.c. In the bathroom. As we pulled up the driveway, she pointed out two more things that needed doing before she got out of the car!

I’ll see if I can get GCHQ to run Moons post through their super computer to see if they can decode it. May take some time though.

Must say, I’m pleasantly surprised that we didn’t have a more severe drop in price today especially with the blockade news. As Speedy says, maybe gold has returned to its ‘flight to safety’ position and hence our share price with it.

I feel very fortunate that D is in the rear view mirror but E is a little on the distant horizon. Luckily I don’t need to sell for a particular reason just yet so will see how much further the journey takes me. No doubt I will be selling a few here and there to fund some special occasions. The other half has some expensive ideas but I haven’t told her yet how many shares I own, she just knows they’re in ‘some gold company’.

No doubt there’s the new tax year ISA allowance and ‘bed & ISA’ adding to the volatility at the moment. Perfect timing to add to some of the confusion.

From what I’ve noticed before, we tend to move towards the ASX closing price at the end of the trading day.

Moon, I think you and your merchant banker colleagues time would be much better spent over at your other investment on the Prem board where the share price needs to be viewed with an electron microscope.

This is the news I secretly hoped would get the share price over £8 before the Middle East blew up. At least we shouldn’t have to worry about a drop tomorrow now!
