Sharpey, you have just described the old adage ‘buy on rumour, sell on news’. There appears to be a lot more traders these days jumping about trying to take advantage of ‘the next big thing’. Hopefully the price will settle and build again with the rest of the drill results.

Several years ago, I unfortunately held shares in a company called Range Resources. They invested getting on for £6 million building an airstrip in Africa. Range went bust and the airstrip was never used. The Australian MD subsequently ended up in prison but that involved naughties with an unconnected company.

GGP have announced they’ll build one from Haverion to Telfer to truck ore for processing.

One of the 4.67p buys was mine after deciding to dip my toe in. The spread was a bit off putting so hopefully more liquidity in future will narrow this for further purchases.

Elc-I tried it as an experiment several years ago using a spreadbet on IG. Can’t even remember what stock it was now. Maybe it’s me but it turned me into a bit of a wreck as I couldn’t take my eyes off the screen, at least when I’m long I only have to check the prices several times a day! After a couple of days of this I closed the position for a minimal loss but regained peace of mind.

Whoever does short has a cooler head than me that’s for sure.

This a part of an RNS this morning on another gold company I hold shares in.

‘The Company has been advised of longer lead times for assays due to laboratory utilisation levels being high - Company remain on notice to receive first assay results imminently.’

Since the 1st October the share price has more than halved. The shareholders prospects haven't improved at all.

“worth $1000 a bag in a couple of months . That could be worth a million or two”. - Are there as many as 1000- 2000 tonne bags of ‘processed’ product lying around?
