Issue of shares under Scrip Dividend Scheme
The Morgan Crucible Company plc (the 'Company') announces that valid elections to take up the scrip dividend for the 2012 interim dividend were received in respect of 96,617,281 ordinary shares representing 34.54 per cent of the Company's issued share capital.
The board has resolved to allot 1,425,488 ordinary shares of 25 pence each to satisfy scrip dividend elections. Applications will be made for admission of those shares to the Official List of the UKLA and to trading on the London Stock Exchange. It is expected that dealings will commence on 10 January 2013. The new ordinary shares will rank pari passu with the existing ordinary shares in the Company. Immediately following admission the number of ordinary shares in issue will be 281,166,903.
