InterContinental Hotels Share Price (IHG)

I imagine the Board have pre-empted the 'tool makers' sons' way of running a country and decided to go for a safer bet.

To be honest, I think it's a shrewd move given that proportionately, the lions share of assets are in the U S A.

Can someone please explain what happened to share price? Was there dilution or something with this drop?

Thank you, understood once I read the RNS in December. I have managed to adjust my (very) basic spreadsheet to reflect this. I have a question, WHY have they done this.

Also what is the effect, if any, on shares held in an ISA which is not set up for USD. The RNS suggests shares still in "nominal GPD, somehow I feel this will have a cost attached. Is this the start of transferring the listing to USA like happened to ABCAM?

Change of currency took effect this morning and as a result the shares have ceased to be quoted in GB pence and are now being quoted in US dollars, thus explaining the massive share price drop i.e. the share price has gone from c10,318.50p (or £103.185) to c$141.60. The prevailing exchange rate is currently c$1.34 to the £1. So, the shares have, in fact, appreciated in value by c2.4% thus far today.
