Hi all

Now have both HMRC forms signed and details of my taxed dividends from A J Bell. Can someone please provide me with the correct email address for the Irish Tax Authorities, or how to handle the next stage.

All depends on your Tax Domicile. Also if you have a tax efficient structure that the shares are held in.

I’m offshore so I rely on the Double Tax Agreements (DTA) with where I live and S. Ireland. I can get full Double Taxation Relief (DTR) on my annual tax returns for this share.

The tax paid, or a portion of, maybe offset against your liability say in the UK. You can look them up. DTA. Below is a starting point.

HMRC also have a community forum in which questions can be submitted to the admin section…you would need to be signed in to the system. This maybe the easiest way or via an accountant.

Hi anyone. has anyone here been successful in reclaiming the Irish tax levied on these dividends?

The votes for discontinuation were probably institutional investors unhappy with the SP sitting at approx. 30% below NAV. Also, the general liquidity for GRP has been pretty low. It will be interesting to see if the somewhat unusual decision to list in Johannesburg will have any effect.
