Spending. That should be. And that’s the ones we know about. If this starts moving going to explode.
Sending a fortune holding this down.
Boom 💥
Yes, shorters hit a recent record for Ocado of 7.99%!!!
Looks like they actually increased overall yesterday...
500p in a flash.. I think they are getting worried.
Interesting that both OCDO and MKS are both climbing strongly this afternoon, news at the weekend?
Hopefully we get to 380 in the last hour
Was on the GME sub, and realised that the only way to stop shorters playing their game if all investors make sure their shares are registered in their name (via Computashare etc), so brokers wont ever be able to lend out and if you register any shares that has been shorted will need to be returned back to the registered owner. This is something I may do to get rid of any shorters lurking around.
I'm not saying that this isn't undervalued; hence why I'm long. But it's certainly not valued as solely a supermarket either; as some where suggesting.
A big buy for me so added a bit yesterday morning!
If you look at a recent earnings call transcript all the analyst questions are about Solutions. Nothing about the Retail business.
Just when new CFCs etc
The Solutions revenue is projected to be £500m this year.
That's what you use to value it at a multiple of 8 as per Autostore, which is marked down due to declining sales whereas Solutions grew 44% last year and is projected up to 20% this year
The other supermarkets also actually make a profit. If this was retail only then it'd be lucky to have an Mcap of 1bn
I'm long here but not sure why people keep saying it's only being valued as a supermarket. If we only taking ocado retail into account then it would be worth much less. Current market cap is around 1.25x retail revenue of which its only 50% shareholder. Are there other uk supermarkets valued anywhere near that?
And then say issues will stop final payment - they will pay something
But like i say - when amazon take this over they will just batter them.
May as well just play nice and pay now.
This is heading up quick now.
Shorts need to close.
The valuation as it stands is for the UK supermarket business..... which, including Logistics, I believe accounts for more than 80% of revenue and around 70% of EBITDA (Don't rely upon or quote these figures without confirming them) . So whatever market OCDO is listed on, those ratios would probably reflect the investment profile of the Group. Would being on NASDAQ benefit a UK company, pretty much unknown in the states, that is less than 20% Technology with the largest element a low margin grocer?
Of course, if the retail bit (including logistics) is sold off then the much smaller Group would have the Tech profile you are talking about and a reasonable cash balance from the sale proceeds. Would shareholders get a special distribution from the sale proceeds after all these years? Ha Ha! Dream on...
Until then, it is what it is and markets, on either side of the pond, will view it accordingly
It's like getting in to M&S at 95p.
"In one word, this Ocado solution is the vehicle that leads to retail transformation 360 degrees from a traditional retailer to the ones that the future will have."
Note to self: Notify the Oxford English Dictionary of a new definition of a word.
I'm not sure any such move has been "reported" in the national press. It's been merely speculated about.

No, it is only for ad hoc purchases if I am running out of something.
My weekly grocery is delivered by guess who - OCADO and I have a smart pass too that reduces my delivery charges. Also I get some gifts every now and then as I have been with Ocado since 2013 as far as I remember.
Would you normally go to the store yourself to get it if it wasn't delivered?
Triple bottom yesterday around 333 so far...Hopefully that was the low and we can get towards JPM target of 450p and not 250p that some are expecting
Yes, treat it more like a food delivery from a restaurant within 1 hour. The charges are minimal (under £3) compared to discount you get that seems meaningful (£10-15 for me generally) with convenience.
Surely you have to pay extra to get home delivery? Maybe Coop sees it as the staff using time effectively rather than twiddling their thumbs at quiet moments.
