Panic is strong, but I think there are some shorts that are "repositioning" Its all very well shorting the share down.. But they need to buy back at some point and Metro has always been quite volatile, as they will find out now.
No idea if buy or sell, at the price I would say buy, but the big thing is 1,000000 shares just changed hands... This is really setting up nicely. Someone bought those shares whether its a buy or sell.
The FCA will be under great pressure to not cause any big waves of disruption with UK banks at the current time, of that I am sure.. Causing issues for MTRO with a large fine would be very irresponsible.
Good thanks.. I think we have a perfect storm, fully expecting one of the declared shorters to start reducing (looks like Odey is pulling strings but greed is a powerful motivator).. No one will want to be holding this when it starts rocketing... In addition I suspect fresh II investment is coming in along with PI activity looking for price recovery at these very depressed levels. Its most certainly a time for popcorn and I am expecting these to do well from here.
Have to admit I find it very hard to find a good case to short metro at these low levels. Does feel and look like a coiled spring, just look at the price action today. They are struggling to hold this down now.
They could have but I doubt it. Remember he has made loads here already. Being too greedy now though and seems to have the ft in his pocket. I would suggest posters here start contacting the ft and asking how much odey is paying them as it’s starting to look very suspicious there too.
It’s not all about odey. I think he has misjudged his exit point but he is still in massive profits. The evidence that things are picking up here from the prospectus will hopefully see new investors landing and raising the pressure on all the shorters . Of which odey is just the largest and could be ring leader. I think the puppets could be ringing up and saying ‘I’m out’.
