DIRECTORATE CHANGES

DFS Furniture plc ("DFS" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Alison Hutchinson CBE as an independent non-executive Director of the Company, and member of the Audit, Nomination and Remuneration Committees, with effect from 1 May 2018.

Alison has extensive experience across IT and financial services and is currently Chief Executive of Fintech charity The Pennies Foundation, a non-executive Director of LV= and Yorkshire Building Society and, until the end of 2017, was a non-executive director of Aviva Life UK.

Prior to this, Alison was Managing Director and then CEO at specialist mortgage provider Kensington Group PLC, Marketing & Communications Director of Barclaycard, CEO of Barclays B2B and Global Director of Online Financial Services of IBM.

Following the previous announcement on 5 January 2018, the Company also confirms that Gwyn Burr, an independent non-executive Director of the Company, member of the Audit and Nomination Committees and the Chair of the Remuneration Committee, will leave the Board on 30 April 2018.

In order to ensure a smooth transfer of responsibilities, Luke Mayhew, the Senior independent non-executive Director and member of the Remuneration Committee, will assume the role of interim Chair of the Remuneration Committee until 1 October 2018, at which point Alison Hutchinson will become Chair.

Commenting on the new appointment of Alison Hutchinson, DFS's Chair of the Board, Ian Durant, said:

There are no further details in respect of Alison Hutchinson requiring disclosure under Listing Rule 9.6.13.
