Todays announcement also answers my question about scaling up and perhaps also other shareholders who were questioning whether the board had the desire and commitment to move the business forward.

Not a great fan of consolidation but can understand why the board are doing it. Consolidation 'can' lead to a commensurate drop in the SP in my experience. We'll see as it will still be a 'penny share'.

I have no position here again - yet - but monitoring closely.

Planning submission in for final decision on £25m contract for wastewater treatment plant.

munchbox 54 - you were spot on with your Gib information. The first part (the planning submission) now completed. The advance works complete. Now for the planning decision next month (if you are also correct on that too)

I note the contract value has also been increased from £22m to £25m. This number dwarfs the current company valuation, For a company of this size it’s a LARGE contract.

Hopefully the market we will now be re-enthused as we finally see a light at the end of the tunnel!

john- Yes like you I’ve watched Fox for several years now. I’ve met CG a couple of times at Investor events and a more charming and genial man you are unlikely to meet. BUT that does not make a successful leader of a company. He has failed to deliver time and again. It’s a barge pole stock.

Van totally concur. 2p is coming I'm sure. This could well be THE breakthrough year on several fronts for Ariana. Never been more bullish and we are not dependent on the gold price for positive cashflow.

Inept complacent and coasting management here. Every year it is the same old spin the same old story from that smooth talker Gilbert.

Revenue increases are perennially and woefully behind the alleged order book.

Good morning TT, in reference to the slight concern on here about the ‘attractive acquisition target’ comment by the company could this be seen another way. Possibly an expression of intent by the company to crystallise (short-er term) value for (long suffering) shareholders? It does seem to be quite a challenge for the company to scale up to meet possible large aerospace orders? Perhaps that is what he is alluding to. If they are taken out have you got a realistic valuation you would be willing to accept? (if you had the choice)

LoB - no worries most of us possess a few scars from previous disappointments. This does feel different now though. Risk is always there but imo the positives are now substantially outweighing the negatives.

Looking forward to this year, barring some unforeseen disaster it should be a good one here.

As I write we are knocking on the 2p door again.

Morning FK, well I certainly can’t argue with the paucity of contract announcements. The sound of tumbleweed is deafening! However, directors have been buying in recent times. They have promised the market no more cashcalls apart from for acquisitions. I know they could try to hide a little behind that caveat but for now I’m prepared to give them the benefit of the doubt. I’ve picked up a few for a short term trade as I don’t have sufficient confidence to invest any longer at present.

Quite a good recovery from this mornings low.

Too many short term negatives in the statement

Yes this is exactly what Richard Bernstein said:

Warren Buffet: "the most common cause of low prices is pessimism. We want to do business in such an environment-we like the prices it produces."
Fair FX share price has fallen on Brexit worries. We are buying. Loss making Earthport bid value £233m. Last year FFX made £7m.

I’m inclined to believe it’s NOT a placing coming. It’s simply exhausted sellers throwing in the towel. It would be rather foolish to believe that this company is now in a death spiral. Only late last year reputable II’s took part in the last placing at 3p. They would have known this companies history so they will have done their DD.

Listen anyone who knows me (like FK) will know I’m not a fan of this company but II’s are now involved here and they will expect this bunch to deliver. The company has explicitly stated - no more WC placings. If they break that promise.....

Best guess is "Brexit uncertainty' but the one thing I am certain of is that the fall is overdone. As usual the market overshoots to the downside. This is now fundamentally and technically ridiculously oversold.

20dma has crossed both 50 and 200dma = golden cross. This reversed the downtrend that commenced in early November.
