Dicko there is clearly a coded message in there that cash is required. It’s just a matter of how much. Also there is absolutely no mention of financial projections ie.potential profitability.

Not spectacular are they and certainly nothing out of the range of market expectations.

But the bit that caught my attention was the final outlook paragraph:

“In order to capitalise on the Company's technological strengths with a view to accelerating the growth of the business, the Board recognises the need to intensify the Company's sales and marketing efforts and intends to invest in expanding its business development team”

If they intend to invest and we know they have precious little cash....

Oh dear - the direct translation of that is a substantial (considering the market valuation) placing.

Since we have received any worthwhile news. No wonder the SP has slowly sunk! Clearly they have nothing worthwhile to tell us.

FWIW I think that it’s simply short term uncertainty about the companies revenue position that is plaguing the SP.

I don’t think AK is likely to pull any amazing rabbits out of the hat in the near term.

Cash position seems to be ok so probably no cash calls to worry about but...

Trading update next month is unlikely to make pretty reading imho (reading between the lines) and perhaps this is being at least partially priced in.

Results are much improved as expected. They reported profitability in Q4 so I was a little disappointed they didn’t update on that for Q1 or indeed any mention of profitability. That said the KPI’s are impressive and the tone of the announcement was entirely positive and upbeat.

I see they are presenting at Sharesociety tonight which would be interesting but I can’t attend. I wonder if that will generate any follow up interest?

Cheers! Worth bearing in mind these are purchases @ 1.2p in old money and post dilution so seems decent value to me. They probably have around £6m in cash as well now so the EV at this price is around £17m.

Picked up an initial purchase this morning, showing as a sell @ 48p.

Nice announcement this morning but not adding any more value hence no sp movement.

My eyes are now on the post year end trading update due in early April which should be good. Possibly very good.

Kerim is a canny cautious soul. I think he will state approx 25k ozs this year. Which would still be 25% more than last years guidance. And give room for more under promising and over delivering. ;)

Let’s be fair 3p would represent a 50% gain on where we are now and in this utterly pitiful market that is a GOOD return. I’d be plenty happy with that.

Thanks for the reply unv. I admire your confidence and optimism and don't think its entirely misplaced either. We will see. It looks like the worst is over. Year end trading update should be announced mid next month. That will tell us whether the financial performance has stabilised or even dare I say improved. We should also receive a further CD4 update within the next month or two, perhaps within the trading update.

Enjoy both yours and FK’s posts. I certainly would not filter either of you. FK is, I hope he doesn’t mind me saying, a bit obsessed with this stock and I’ve never been quite sure why. There are so many equally bad aim stocks he could get his teeth into but seems to focus on this one? Don’t get me wrong he’s right this has been an absolute dog of an investment and very few other than flippers would’ve made a cent here. But believe it or not there are worse!

FLX have consistently overegged their potential to break into what has proved to be a very difficult market to penetrate. Much of the big business has been gobbled up by the big IT players already. So FLX and other small players are left to go for SME’s etc. There were already established players in that space before FLX arrived on the scene such as ECSC which, I believe, is a better long term play and a recovery play too.

That is a big ask to get from where they are now to £50m inc £20m CD4 from nothing in 5 years? Another big AIM promise..... Not saying it’s impossible but we’ve heard it all before. I guess my first question is have they already got the manufacturing capacity for that level of production? Having closed Pune....

It all sounds very attractive and, IF it were to come to fruition one would imagine the SP would be bare minimum £1 and probably a lot more which would represent a major multi bagging opportunity. IF.....

I think what we can say is that with the first test already commercialised and the second one on the cusp they are undoubtedly going to achieve sales of a certain magnitude, just how much.

Will leave discussion about the other lines of business to another time.

In my experience both todays RNS announcing a new NOMAD plus the drop in SP are possible precursors to a forthcoming placing.

Yes you have a reasonable point, I’m a bit risk averse atm in this very unforgiving market. Will keep some powder dry in the event of a successful decision in the understanding that there will likely be a gap up.

The price in old money (based on 54.5p) is 1.35p so it has fallen below the placing price as I thought it probably would.

Yes it was Puggs. The risk is too great imv against the planning decision. It WILL happen but just not this time as it’s clear they will have to make changes to placate the not inconsiderable local opposition.
