Agreed and there’s no reason for any adverse reaction and we haven’t got one fortunately. Also they’ve released at literally the quietest time of the year.

However that all said the bit that intrigues me is this comment:

A question. Almost a year ago In Sept 2018 AAU posted an RNS ref the above stating the following:

,500m Reverse Circulation ("RC") drilling programme being planned in order to test the full strike-length of the mineralised structure.

Does anyone know if they have progressed this at all? I can't see any subsequent mention of it but I may have missed something.

I am Uber bullish about precious metals. This is a different ball game now, whichever way you look st it. Debt at historic highs and continuing to rise. Negative interest rates. Looming recession. Trade wars. Geopolitical instability in the Far East and Middle East. There are so many reasons stacked up in favour of gold we will see $2,000 within a year.

A rising gold price is offsetting any reduction in production which, in turn, should provide support to the SP whilst we await other catalysts.

NicetoMichu - I don’t think this has bottomed yet. New target is around 4p. Too many uncertainties re funding, closures, Confidence v low. Many people though MS would provide back up, security around finances etc. It hasn’t.

Much as I agree with all the comments on this utter POS who has, and is, laughing all the way to the bank? Bell, Kaintz and co that’s who. They have earned very large salaries over a number of years for doing very very little. Who have they been accountable to? It certainly hasn’t been the little band of PI’s who have been fleeced, had their pants pulled down repeatedly. I wonder if they will get away with it again? Today’s RNS was utter and total BS and if you can’t recognise that then you deserve everything you get. ‘Strategic review’??!! FFS....

By the wording in the RNS is not guaranteed but what is guaranteed is that shareholders are going to be hammered for dilution if it happens and the price....1p? 1.5p?

The challenge will be to ride out the journey. As you say, this is just the beginning still really. There will be plenty of points when it will be tempting to take profits. But the sky is the limit here and this one is the real deal. Be interesting to see, as the valuation rises, whether they go for a main listing. Thats still a little way off though I suspect.

So, listening to Kerims message today on proactive, Q2 results are "imminent". I think that pretty much says tomorrow morning then....

I think the wording in the most recent RNS is such that to buy before the funding is secured and guaranteed would be very risky. They require 'significant' funds which means significant dilution.

He has a point but its more about general principles of investing and NOT restricted to gold mining stocks. You can apply what he says across the market - ie.people tend to buy high and sell low rather than buying low and selling high.

Fact is people have made, and WILL make, a lot of money out of well selected gold mining stocks in a gold bull market. You just have to apply the principles, DYOR, invest wisely and you should do OK.

AAU is one of the better junior stocks on the AIM market, arguably one of the best.

When a company releases a second RNS on the same day as their results are announced I am always immediately suspicious. Normally the second announcement, whatever it may be is designed imo to mitigate the first, as a kind of sop against the disappointment. It never works of course but it doesn’t stop companies doing it. Today, alongside the predicted results we see OMIP spending a whopping $725k on ONE, yes ONE track. Almost 10% of the company valuation. Eye popping stuff when you consider they have a library of 250,000 tracks. OK they claim it has a lot of Spotify hits and sales over the years but does it seriously justify the valuation in terms of the potential ROI? I’m happy to be challenged but to me this seems a ridiculous and desperate transaction. Scraping the bottom of the proverbial barrel.

This is a classic case of a solid well run company losing its way as a result of big egos coming in thinking they will scatter their stardust everywhere.

What do we make of this from an Aau perspective? A fall in the lira is good for our costs. But is the loss in confidence in the country good as it harms investment?

desertjoe: I like the way you singled out my gold is in a bull market comment (which is just my opinion by the way) and then mocked it. Now who’s looking silly with gold having bounced back up by over $50 to $1435 as I speak. Gold will pull back from time to time in a bull market - it’s natural but long term resistance has been broken and gold imho is going higher.
