Technically oversold? Yes. But fundamentally? It’s all about sentiment and trust. And both are shot to pieces in this stock. I wouldn’t rule out a suspension but if you are willing to gamble it could pay off - or it might not

Reflecting further on Evans comments on the company outlook :

"Our short-term outlook is dominated by our efforts to realise value for Shareholders whilst at the same time successfully accelerating our efforts to commercialise our CD4 offering. The challenges are not inconsequential but I remain confident that in those areas where we can control our own destiny that we will succeed in delivering our objectives. In those areas where we are not masters of our own destiny then, by definition, the outcome will always be less certain. I believe it is best for our statement to reflect that reality as it stands today. Rest assured we will continue to work towards achieving success for all our Stakeholders."

I was looking hard for any positives but cannot find them in this statement. I continue to watch closely as I do feel there is potential here but the message is one of considerable uncertainty whilst also being rather opaque.

No one is talking about this sentence from last weeks RNS :

"The company will issue a detailed statement of the expected out-turn for 2018 once accounting issues related to the restructuring and revenue recognition under IFRS 15 have been resolved."

Disagreement or dispute with auditors?

When it becomes apparent a company is struggling more bad news tends to follow bad news. I don't think we know the full picture yet. There is clearly no guarantee the money they owe will be paid. The SP is telling you all you need to know.

It seems this is likely to be an overdue PAYE payment from their payroll. Assuming they operate a monthly payroll the tax payment deadline is the 19th of the month following the payroll period. Thus, November 2018 tax payment would be due on 19th December. I’m not sure how quickly HMRC would institute wind up proceedings after a PAYE payment omission but I’d guess it wouldn’t be long because these payments are due every month. So they wouldn’t want the employer to be getting behind on payments whilst collecting the tax itself through the payroll.

The point is this is very basic operational stuff and if they ain’t got the tax to pay over it means they ain’t got the money to pay people basically.

Oh 7dig....well growing quite quickly but I don't like this from the interims:

"In the six months to 30 June 2018, the Group had a cash outflow from operating activities of £3.0m (H1 2017: £1.6m). At 30 June 2018 cash in bank was £0.7m (H1 2017: £0.9m)."

So although at an operating level they are reducing losses no sign of an improvement at the cashflow level.

Plus they have further dilution (15%) or so coming this year re convertible stock.
