Thing is Star need to raise money each time they get an order. Lord knows what they’ll ask for if they ever get a big order!

FWIW I do agree with you but I think it’s a decent recovery punt from this position. The debt and management quality are of concern but they do have good products and do win good contracts. On balance I’d take a punt at this level.

Some nibbly buying here over past few days.

I fully expect a rerating here in the next few months, or even possibly weeks. This is just too undervalued on fundamentals and future growth prospects.

20p would not be expensive short term.

Taking an interest here. Nice to see. Can barely claim that STAR is still cheaper though! TRAK has much bigger sales but also bigger losses currently. That said I've never felt that they were direct competitors anyway so no real point in comparing. Their products are aimed at different potential customers.

The hyperbole is returning here. Yes I remember it the halcyon days of 60p. Must be time to sell.

If this management were half as good convincing customers to sign contracts as they are getting placing off they might actually do well! But this will inevitably be another Flx false dawn and as the realisation sets in so the SP will drop.

This is a rare buy in this market. Should be no impact from Brexit. Change of current govt policy highly favourable. A Labour govt would be even more positive with the reliance on public sector. I see this as a good each way bet with good fundamentals, a positive outlook. It’s basically a govt backed yield. This company is cash generative. Has no history of cash calls. Has no need to fund raise. Is rapidly reducing debt. Is backed by Morgan Sindell.

Anyone go and have any feedback? I reckon yesterday’s positive move in SP was due to Wednesday evenings event.

So liquidity is also an issue here. Witness the big spread. But it does mean once the supply of sellers today starts to dry up we could see a fairly rapid bounce from these levels imho.

Thanks maplin. Of course in this market it is unlikely that most companies will not be fully valued. It’s all about the very poor sentiment that currently exists.

Not sure how they get 70p? There’s been no bounce yet but I would expect one, however small. There’s no immediate need for a cash call as they have £2m in the bank. Appreciate they have sizeable Debt @ £5m but is any of it repayable short term? Anyone know?

I can’t help smiling at the modest way this huge placing was announced. Innocuously Titled ‘issue of equity’ this placing is over 50, yes over 50 per cent dilution! Unless there is a big big change in sentiment this is going to struggle to maintain 3p short term. Today’s blip upwards is unlikely to be maintained.

It was an absolutely lousy announcement - worse than expected. But from the most recent accounts I can see shareholder funds are valued at £22m so with a current MC £9.5m this must surely be a takeover target.

I would think RMG will be a long way down any Labour Party list to re-nationalise. Bigger priority targets than this for sure.

That was some poor announcement. Let the carnage begin.

Another placing. I see they’ve finally dropped any mention of becoming profitable or breaking even.

Though they have made a whopping promise - no more working capital fundraising’s. Hmmm we’ll see. Personally I don’t believe it. This is a company that’s become addicted to investors propping it up.

Yes a takeover is highly likely within the next 2 years as MS will see, at first hand, what a useful asset they’d be picking up despite its small size relative to theirs.

I must admit looks very good. They are exceeding expectations. I would like to see AISC rather than just OCC as that gives a more accurate picture of true margin. But look theres no denying its positive.

So.... why the SP reaction? Continuing negative gold sector sentiment? Background situation in Turkey?
