at last something positive from the bashing of "Russian" stocks.
This has been trading at a wide discount so price should tighten now.

had my first mortgage back in late 80s' so yes remember those days well!

interest rates are historicly very low, private equity will continue to thrive, even though interest rates will rise, i remmeber when rates were on average 10 percent. keep the faith.

this has been a good play and am absolutely not complaining... ie: trying to get private equity exposure without having massive funds for speculation. Question going forward is how far low rates have fed the private equity boom...do higher rates presage a slump in private equity's boom?

Not why this in particular is at such a discount ; think there is a prejudice against the company: have been comparing Emerging market ITs and no mention of Aberdeen’s EM IT, and it is in the top quartile performance-wise, unlike Templeton’s or Barings which got the column inches.
