There was no corresponding update at this time last year, nor was it presented as an AGM update as that was held the day before. But the change in the situation should be disclosed to the market. I, for one, was amazed at the reaction, 30% increase, to the announcement last Friday. I expect the market reaction exceeded the Board's expectations.

Who in their right mind would not sell off their shares at this price?

I am surprised Eben didn't flog the lot! Enough mugs to take them!

Worth remembering that directors face strict trading blackouts for most of the year their windows to buy or sell are tiny compared to institutions who can trade whenever they like, quietly, with no real-time disclosure.

Eben was buying repeatedly at 260-320p just months ago. If directors can only ever buy and never sell, when exactly is the right time — after a 200%+ gain following a profit upgrade? That seems pretty rational to me.

He still holds over 3 million shares. This isn't an exit, it's someone taking some gains after backing the company with real money at the lows. That's alignment, not 'spivvy'.

I bet the company’s Institutional Investors aren’t too impressed with the exec teams willingness to trade their shares in and out to make short term cash, or more accurately phrased, enrich themselves at their supporting shareholders expense.

I find it difficult to take RPIs management seriously. It’s Spivvy behaviour.

No wonder the share price retreated earlier in the week. Large sales by two directors on Tuesday. Last Friday's extraordinary rise was an open goal to offload.
