Montanaro Uk Share Price (MTU)

Ok, a plodding share price but over the years I've been delighted with the quarterly 5 to 6% dividend - another one just popped in this morning...each to their own though. GL all.

According to their listing on AIC, Montanaro Asset Management Limited "believe that businesses that do not take ESG seriously may not be around in 10 years’ time." Fund managers are prohibited from investing in companies that do not comply.

I'm steering clear of MTU (and other B Corps) until this investment fad is behind us or at least out of sight.

They can virtue-signal with other people's money.

Good afternoon Bodgit and all. I agree with you. The performance is flattered by an earlier period of good performance. Apart from Mr. Copple (who owns 275K shares per the accounts and so has, I assume, skin in the game) the other directors don't own many shares. That's not what I generally like to see. Maybe a change in the manager/directors is needed. I've been aboad since about early 2023 and bought on the assumption that once the economy improved money would start to flow into the smaller company sector. I'm prepared to wait for that event which may not arrive for a while (though the dividend certainly helps). For sure, if the shares don't start to move then I would flog them, take the loss, and buy something else in the same sector. Any suggestions anyone? I see the match is shortly to commence so must finish. Enjoy the weekend all. ALgent.
