Whitbread Share Price (WTB)

Nice to see a recent boost in the WTB share price which I can only presume centred on Starmers resignation and his imminent departure, and the fact Rachel Reeves is likely to be following him out the door and with a new Chanceĺlor appointed under Burnham. Can't find any other reason. Both it has to be said seemed to have an axe to grind against the hospitality industry.

Surprising retrace given change will still be happening. In fact if uncontested then much quicker than it would otherwise have happened.

Mr B. more likely imo to reverse previous judgements that have impacted the sector and along with retail, the youth unemployment figures at all time highs.

We can but hope.

WTB can get better returns for investors by re-purposing those restaurants into additional rooms whilst also providing their own foòd options inside the hotels. Good to see that is continuing at pace in the update.

I've just returned from one myself and had a really nice 2 course Meal Deal evening meal with drink thrown in. Priced minus the cost of the free shareholder breakfast. Kids also eat free I believe.

I very much doubt you could beat the value and quality in any nearby City Centre restaurant or pub nowadays. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Same reception staff were doubling in the bar and restaurant which were next door to each other, so cost savings I'd there I presume.

I’m a little surprised by the results as know a few family and friends no longer considering stopping at the Premier Inns after they closed a load of the pubs/restaurants next door.

I thought the uk figures were rather flat and the average room rate suggests a number of rooms empty for possible significant time given the price you have to pay for a room. What was impressive, however, were the German figures. That haS become a little and expanding goldmine.

Given its one of the quieter quarters and given all thats going on in the world.

I still think this receives a Bid.
