SCRIP DIVIDEND SCHEME

In relation to the interim dividend for 2010, the price of a new ordinary share under the scrip dividend alternative has been set at 243.24 pence. This is the average of the Company's middle market closing price for the five consecutive dealing days commencing on the ex-dividend date of 1 December 2010.

Shareholders who wish to participate in the scrip dividend scheme, and who have not already completed a scrip dividend mandate form, may do so either online at www.capitashareportal.com or by obtaining and completing a scrip dividend mandate form and returning it to the Company's registrars, Capita Registrars, Corporate Actions, The Registry, 34 Beckenham Road, Beckenham, Kent BR3 4TU.

Scrip dividend mandate forms can be obtained from the Company's registrars at the above address or by telephoning 0871 664 0321 (from the UK - calls cost 10p per minute plus network extras) or +44 20 8639 3399 (from outside the UK).

Shareholders who hold their shares in CREST and wish to elect to participate must do so by means of CREST procedures.

All elections to participate in the scrip dividend scheme (whether by completing the mandate form or electronically) must be received by the registrars by no later than 5.00 pm on 17 December 2010.
