AGM Statement

Animalcare Group plc (AIM: ANCR), a leading supplier of veterinary medicines, will hold its Annual General Meeting today at The Bridge Hotel, Walshford, Wetherby, North Yorkshire, LS22 5HS at 11.30am.

Ahead of the formal proceedings Animalcare will provide the following update to shareholders:

Trading in the first quarter has been satisfactory and continues to be in line with your Board's expectations.

As we mentioned at the time of our full year results we were aiming to launch two new products with a third complementary product in the first half of October. This has proceeded as planned and earlier this month we launched Torphasol, an analgesic for horses, and Detonervin, an equine sedative. Emdocam Equine, an anti-inflammatory for horses, will launch very soon. In addition to these products we also launched an antibiotic for cattle called Tilmodil in September.

In our results statement we flagged up that we also have a very important addition to our range finishing its regulatory passage. This has now been completed and with marketing authorisation received we expect to launch this produce in the near future and will provide an update at the appropriate time.

It has been our recent aim to launch four new generic veterinary medicines each year. This was achieved last year through the launch of Anivac VHD, Florgane, Sedastart and Sedastop and we are very pleased that we have launched four new products so early in our financial year with a fifth product looking to launch in the near future.

Finally, the Board has been very pleased with the underlying cash flow of the business and we announced in September that we are recommending a final dividend of 3p per share bringing to total dividend to 4p for the year, which, subject to shareholder approval later in the meeting, we propose to pay to shareholders on 7 November.
