Had you forecast the delay then fair enough, but you went the polar opposite!

At least I was trying to flag my concerns as to why there seemed to be inertia in the test sales and for that you wanted me to be filtered by all and sundry.

My forecast of a 140p target has not materialised. but when the SP failed to hang on to 122p then it pretty much dealt with that at the time. I did not mention it because the SP was holding in and around that level. Today of course its fallen but so far is holding up pretty well, which i think bodes very well going forward (the caveat being that it stays around this level (110p)

I would point out as you have raised the point that i should lay off criticising you due to my inaccurate forecast of 140p, that I suggested (around 115-117p as i recall) that give or take it seemed a good place to buy in as most of the LFT value seemed to be discounted.

I honestly don't care about who's right/wrong, its just that in TA its an odds game, All that is trying to be done is to say which move is the most likely. Its not definite. How can it be? None of us can predict the future.

The bit I get rankled about is the vitriol that you immediately resort to when you simply find a view that disagrees with your own. And I would point out, given I don't post like that, you would have been rude to me before I was ever critical of your opinions.

Again in my defence 2 things.

When i am just abused I often ask the poster to actually discuss AVCT and rebut the points I make. That never happens.

When posters lie about me I ask them to substantiate their claim, whatever it is, and they never respond.

Having had nearly 18 months of it I feel if i don't remind people that I wanted to discuss what has come to pass then it is easily forgotten.

But I do agree with you, it is unbecoming and I will stop.

Mowzer, I post longer than perhaps needed simply because i think these questions we discuss are nuanced and can't be pithily expressed without the danger that people misinterpret the meaning in them

Clearly my good intentions have had both the opposite effect of not being clear and giving exactly the opposite of what i try to convey. Hey ho.

The myles thing for me has been odd because I have never in any post, ever gone after him. I have enjoyed his analysis.

As my analysis over the months (re: LFT) has been broadly correct without rancour to most of my detractors I was surprised that he sees me the way he does, but if someone is going to go around calling me evil, and encouraging others to "cancel" me, well then my view changes.

I am now extremely suspicious of his motives given his huge financial commitment in AVCT

I get the sledgehammer thing, which is a fair point I think you make, though in my defence I might post one thing and then get half a dozen replies that I feel need responding to. Plus on a BB like this posts get swallowed up pretty quickly.

well, I'm glad you two can have your love-in about a conclusion I came to some months previously. But i'm not clever, I am an evil troll, who because so many filter me can't always see the wood for the trees.

On the plus side and I mean it. if anything does come of the LFT test then it will be an unexpected but welcome boost to the SP.

I would point out that the RNS while explaining the UK position had the opportunity to express how EU sales were going and they did not.

Imo, this suggests to me that demand for the test is not a million a month or certainly income from the test is not at £1m per month.

As its been pointed out now with so many deciding to have filtered me then potentially discussions with those left can be held in a much much more civil environment and the exchange of ideas and thoughts might with any luck illuminate the uncertainty.

Today's announcement heralds a couple of things. The most important is that its not materially affecting the financial fortune of the company. That is both and bad. Good that the position is unchanged, but bad because it suggests after nearly 6 months of sales to business virtually no income is being produced.

Unfortunately that was pretty obvious at 3 months ago.

HUA as I have said before is to my mind over rated, inasmuch as there should be huge demand from business such as every healthcare business both in the UK and the EU as well as key industry for just AVCT to supply. The fact that has not materialised was the very obvious red flag that something was not right. Ut could be just lack of demand, people simply are not interested, or there are so many free tests still saturating the market that it is still months away from companies having to buy tests.

In any event I had long written off income from LFT so I am not that surprised by this latest surprising development.

Secondly, we finally should see over this week when the dust settles with the SP, exactly what the market had priced in for LFT income.

I am hopeful that 100p will hold as that effectively would be saying that the market had put a 20% valuation on the income. But who knows?

I think the expansion of profit relative to sales is the issue, such that it is and the market is concerned with the headwinds and want to be sure BH is coping with them ok.

Some can take a punt and buy in before or if its all going well, pay a higher share price afterwards.

Its not the "Evils" as you have already filtered us and I think you have posted the same post half a dozen times so far this morning as well as everyone else jumping on the bandwagon.

Ice, that may or may not be true what you say about MM's reading the BB, I have no way of knowing definitively (but I don't think a £300m cap company is going to have its SP moved about by 3 or 4 posters that don't applaud AVCT all the time.)

All I do when discussing LFT (because that's the only are of potential disagreement I have on this Bb with others), is hardly ground breaking is it?

Without rehashing the story here, what caused the SP to move in the first place was AS (not me, and I would suggest AS is somewhat more influential than me on the AVCT SP), who indicated imminent release of a test, validation CE Marks, sales etc, that is what pushed up the SP to 275p. His failure to deliver on his own forecast then caused the SP to fall back to where we are now.

All I did was to try and articulate the reasons for the fall while it was taking place.

As for influencing others, well, we are back to that mythical cohort again. Show me the posters I have influenced. And not for nothing, as I was bloody right, you would think if any of this mythical bunch exist they would post their thanks!

(and remember my last "forecast" a few weeks ago was that, give or take, this looked a good entry point to buy AVCT, but we can't have that post used as ... shock horror... it might show I have balance in my posts and am not just an evil negative troll......(I had to laugh when I read that :0))

the person who started this whole " filter the Evil Trolls" is a multi-million share holder of Avacta.

(Ophidian I think is just someone who is embarrassed by his up to now abject failure in calling this one and I imagine its because he has over stretched himself financially on this stock.)

The thing is that many here can't seem to understand is that it makes no difference to the outcome.

If AVCT sell millions and millions of tests then anything I write (and have written), won't affect that outcome, will it?

I can't quite see why this BB has become so terribly defensive all of a sudden. Either AVCT will have world class diagnostics and therapies, or they won't.

All we do is pass the time speculating on outcomes that may or may not come to pass. There has never been a need to be rude, offensive, or insinuating ulterior motives to others. it makes no difference.

A double top formed at 199p and if it remains below 192p at close then it suggest 185p as a minimum. it might just be wanting to test 175p again.

this could be a good top up place if 192p does go, somewhere between 175-185p. just my opinion DYOR
