T4G, where was I negative?

I was specifically replying to a post made by SCB today, whereby he is giving numerous reasons including very recent charts as to why the SP should go up and yet it has fallen back 5% . I was simply asking why the actual reality did not reflect his opinion.

And by the way, who said the recent low was "unjustified"? That is just your opinion. You may be right that the SP has bottomed, you may also be wrong, It will be the next set of results that will give a clearer position on revenue and profits.

What about my post on Friday when I said "well, that's a weight off. Next 206p to really kick start it."

Was that, in your opinion "Negative"?

I'm serious SCB, because you continually on a daily basis ramp the stock and its down 5% since Friday.

By all means post that you think stock is good value and if its a 12 month time frame for you to revisit the SP and to re0evaluate all well and good, but why in which case, do you keep persistently posting multiple times a day?

Also if you are going to quote charts at me I am guessing you realise charts are for short term movements, not 12 month plus projections?

I had these type of conversations with PP1 by the way,. (She now accepts that she was blinkered.)

Its not normal, your posting style, and raises a lot of suspicion from others

Why is the SP falling this morning then and not going up from these very historic and depressed lows??

I don't quite see it like that just yet.

Currently the SP has been making lower lows and lower highs. So its in a bit of a downtrend.

3.95p has shown itself to be a support but if that were to go the next support would be around maybe 3.8p but more likely 3.6p.

On the upside the SP need (imo) to close above 4.35 and as 4.4p is the near ATH then really it needs to close above that.

presently we are in an upswing but to me its in no mans land. it could carry on going up, or it might fall back.

So its just in a trading range in my view. Its a bit tense, I guess, from a TA pov, as it won't take much movement (either way) to trigger fresh activity.

Its skews domestic buying decisions.

It affects October's sales figures and then potentially forces a discounted sale price instead.

hate it, hate it, hate it! (unless of course I want to buy a 60" TV or something, and then its worth the wait!)

At some stage chancers, you may come to realise 2 things.

1: the SP has little to do with the company
2: Stocks don't go up based on investors just posting "positive" facts, links or opinions BB's

Objectivity and a less emotional outlook would serve you i think better.

Capital protection is a very large part of any port folio, which is why you can still be bullish on a stock but reduce your holding.

Its not black and white.

Not remotely Joe, its just tedious to be constantly called out as only having one view and that is basically to be "negative" on AVCT and that this is to manipulate the price. (Somehow?)

I posted before that whenever I ask the poster, whoever it is, to actually justify their claim with evidence in argument or whatever, then as Pedro is the latest example, he just responds with "bore off". Most posters don't either do that, FTS is the best because he always finds time to post insults but when called out "refuses to engage" (which is again pretty juvenile).

So it seems easy for posters to (childishly imo), call me names and accuse me of ulterior motives of various sorts but never, ever, when confronted, back it up with any sort of argument.

People say i just keep repeating the same thing and yes thats true, but it is in response to other posters constantly repeating views that I don't agree with.

So we get this echo chamber where you can repeat as much as you like of the same view and give pointless links as long as its construed as "positive" but when I try to engage and refute/argue these repeated claims. Then,... well, we all know the response. Basically shut up and go away.

Come on then, lets get this done, once and for all.

I don't know if this will come as a surprise or shock but this is an investment BB. Not a club where like minded souls can just hold hands and all make "positive" noises together and ban any voice that contradicts their incredibly, collectively closed minds.

Currently these test are "free". they wont be soon. So given already the cost pressures on care homes how do they find the now extra money for testing and maintaining standards?

They will, imo, whether they like it or not, go for the cheapest, legal test they can.

I honestly don't want to keep banging on about it, but all this hand wringing and never discussing, particularly on threads like these, is to me a missed opportunity

EGTP. Well for a start we don't have a test for sale in the UK so whatever is happening to covid has no effect on our SP seeing as it has fallen this week by about 10%. Our test has been the best in the world forever and yet it has been withdrawn from the UK market.

The "progress" we have made is that is the AVA6000k trial has stayed on track

The "progress" on the test over the last 6 months has caused the drop to 15% below the placing price last year.

the 2-5 year minimum never actually decreases although I am pretty sure it was a year ago that AS forecasted that. (I don't put a huge weight on AS's timelines these days).

The facts that iceman stated were nothing of the sort. he implored us through a friends advice for no one to post anything negative. (not sure what difference that would make to such a fantastic, buy now before its too late, company.) Sounded desperate to me.

his only fact that seemed correct was the way to make money was to buy low and sell high. However as he has, by his own admission been buying over the last few weeks he has almost been buying above todays price so is underwater on those purchases.

Advising people to buy at this level so as to reduce their overall average cost is quite a risky thing to do, imo, and the adage of "don't catch a falling knife" is one of the stock markets truism's and for good reason.

All we need to do is decide if the reasons we bought in the first place still hold true. if they do then continue to hold. And never over commit financially. (And bear in mind this is a high risk stock.)

The NHS has comparatively some very poor outcomes with other countries on cancer treatments for instance. Its a money thing. Currently it turns out it does grow on trees after all, but we are in the Autumn now and the leaves are falling and the money is drying up.

Testing people does not actually make any difference to outcomes. It does not stop you getting it and it does not help you combat it.
Yes, with no other options testing is all you can do to limit and try to contain the spread. But the cost of continually, never endingly, testing people 1-2 times a week is prohibitively expensive.
And remember the average age of dying from covid is about the normal longevity of age anyway. So how much does a society spend when there are limited resources, on a virus that does not statistically affect that life expectancy?

These are the very tough questions that some people have to wrestle with and make decisions on.

The problem i have with legalising it is.

it will increase consumption
Once done we can never de-legalise it
If it is taxed then it will still be cheaper to buy it from crims
There is substantial evidence it is mentally harmful to many people.
Almost certainly more accidents of all types will occur if peoples faculties are impaired
