My point guys when comparing HE1 to ADV, is not the actual companies per se (they are always going to have their own USP's) , but more the similarities on the BB's.

For instance, I would offer my TA analysis and be told that on companies its all news driven and therefore don't bother (which is fine, btw), the BoD are very experienced, the CEO oozes confidence, this is a once on a life time opportunity, its already in the bag. Do your own research and you will see its a no brainer, etc etc etc.

In my eyes this BB is almost identical to the HE1 BB when it was on the cusp.

I just hope for all our sakes that this one does deliver. I guess the only cautionary note I would genuinely (and politely) raise given the natural bias on forums such as these, is if it were so assured of success, the SP would not be 4.25p.

Therefore the market is not counting any chickens just yet.

I think the whole concept is pretty sound as in, the behaviour of crowds etc.

Its just converting the basic interpretation to something on the face of it, unrelated as a stock chart, is both for me, absorbing and fascinating.

The thing about testing is that it won't stop you getting it. You are just deferring to time you do.

As you say, most survive, so why spend £52b putting off the inevitable?

The NHS is not being over whelmed by covid presently.

As for your contention that being vaccinated does not stop the spread it nevertheless seems to slow it down dramatically.

60m x 3 (tests per week) x £5 per test =£900m per week (as there are 67m in the UK lets round it up to £1b per week.

My analogy of TA D, (fwiw) is like a professional poker player:
By seeing what cards are on the table and what cards he holds he can work what the odds are of someone beating him on a hand.

It doesn't mean he will win every hand as someone might hold 3 aces but the odds of it happening are high enough to take the bet.

And that's TA. It can't predict the future (nobody can) but it can indicate what is most likely to happen.

I would think its about ok at this level as a buy in, but I would want see evidence that the fall has finished first. But the downside does look limited from where it is. Good luck

SGF, the SP is simply a graphical representation of the balance of buyers and sellers, or sentiment. So the SP is sentiment/sentiment is the SP.

If you are a LTB&H then charting has limited help except to maybe help to time an entry point. And thats it. A LTH is waiting patiently for the SP and the company over a long period to release expected value.

TA is much shorter term and does not (in principle) see any particular link between the SP & the company it represents

At no time does the SP EVER reflect the value of the company, if it did they would be no market.

So the SP is always forward thinking. (If it falls its because "bad" news is expected to come, and conversely if it rises "Good" news is on the horizon.

Its a gamble on the near future. (Which is why I never care about the company, because its not the company that moves the SP, it is people and they are fairly easily manipulated. hence charts can help to forecast what is most likely to happen.

How much money has ADV got? How much profit has it made in the last 12 months? yet it is valued at a staggering £43m!

Its at an ATH and is very close to being overbought. Historically for that particular stock it tends to fall when the RSI is in the 70's and its now 76

So from a TA pov, I would not be a buyer at this price.

Would I take profit? I can't say D because hypotheticals depend on where I bought in etc etc. but if I were sitting on a 50% profit then i would have probably sold at least some if not all, around 385-390p and not "risked" it failing to go to a new ATH

My reasoning tends to be, is there another stock that I know about that is likely to move up faster now, than the current one I have money in? If the answer is yes, then I sell, If not then i sit on my hands or just bank profit if I think a pull back is most likely.

Right now because of the recent very sharp upward move it could be a case of buy on the rumour sell on the news, So it looks ON BALANCE, that unless they confound the market even further on dec 1st, a pull back to 385p-390p is likely.

But I am risk adverse so who knows!

Its shaping up to have another go at breaking the ATH.

The RSI has unwound to about 60, so no headwind there.

I am not mad about mixing FA with TA (because ultimately you start seeing what you want to see), but after last night the markets reaction was steady as she goes this morning and it does look as though there will a further move up based on a firm date of the current rig being available. And that could drop at any time I think.

The resistance at 4.4p if broken, should release quite a wave of buying and I would expect it to land somewhere between 4,7p and 5p (That's not a chart thing as much as the room available before I think it will look over bought on the rsi and a dip would follow. just my guess, nothing more.)

So do you wait for 4.4p to be broken or do you get in early?

Well, (look away SGF), it looks as though, due to the lack of FOMO in the SP today, that Mr Market is not expecting anything other than steady as she goes after all....... so "on schedule" will probably keep us where we are SP wise and any further delay (ie early December type of thing), will cause a dip.

G-Mann, I don't think it a leap to suggest demand is weak when a test we have had on sale for 5 months is withdrawn and that withdrawal will have no material affect on the balance sheet.

I am not denying any medical expert, but how the current environment pertains to AVCT specifically.

I also did not remotely suggest that AVCT will abandon its test

A fact however is, that we have been waiting 18 months for it to be authorised (HUA) and yet it has not been. Anywhere in the world, not one single, solitary country.

And of course I do see potential, particularly in the current AVA6k trial. And I am happy to be proven incorrect in my analysis of the test income potential.

There are some smart people here and it would have been interesting to hear some more considered views rather than you putting words in my mouth that I didn't say.

Just for the record, I did say many months ago when i felt AVCT had missed the mass testing boat, that I felt this test development was all about the "next" pandemic and if and when that does occur, then the UK will genuinely, with the help of AVCT and others, be in afar better place to react quickly and avoid what we have all endured over the last 2 years.

I am all for not putting in more than you can afford to comfortably lose, but forgive the stereotyping, the cost of buying a bottle of Rum, a packet of 20 Senior Service cigarettes, and a night out suggests you could afford a bit more than £50 as a top up for the next 5 years

If you have 42 shares (the cost was what, £10 plus to buy them?), then at 500p per share you would have £200. What will that buy?
