Again I imagine there is a cost to the influencers? but again this is not an area I am familiar with and as an overall cost to the BH model it might be exceptionally low relatively.

However would you think if competition increases so BH's marketing/advertsing budget would also increase irrespective of sales volume?

I don't know how accurate that is although i take your broad point, but the reason you buy trendy clothes is to show them off in a social environment.

A lot of fun was recently had (just a few years ago or so) in youngsters "going to the mall", both to shop and to socialise with their friends.

yes they can buy on line, but is it/was it as much "fun" as high street shopping?

Will this trend of young people buying trendy clothes online continue? It may well do but it might not.

Say, you order something and the material/pattern/quality was not up to expectation, then maybe a rebound to seeing it in the shop will take place?

I am not for one second saying it will, but really to highlight youngsters can be a fickle bunch in their habits and if clothes shops can "afford" to be in the high street more than previously due to rates/online tax etc, that greater market place may attract BH demographic away from on-line.

As I say, I am not saying it will happen, just that I am suspicious in accepting never ending online expansion as a given.

Its difficult to know how eventually the "high Street" will play out. Either an on-line tax, or complete business rate tax reform is coming quite soon, but either way there will be a levelling of the playing field soonish (as to what extent I don't know)

Clearly people being social animals like to go out and mingle. That has been damped down due to fears of catching or re-catching covid, but that is likely to pass over the coming months.

On-line is clearly hear to stay but it is expensive to maintain and improve websites as the minimum wage tends not to affect IT workers and it is also very expensive to "buy" business online through advertising.

I think some equilibrium is likely to occur and maybe online growth will start to slow.

With Boo expanding through other new brands that is not potentially a headwind right now, but I find it difficult to see where BH will be in 3-5 years (I don't mean that as a negative but simply as a reflection that I have no analysis to believe it will be more or less profitable than it is now, It could be double the size or smaller, I simply have no idea.

Fast fashion is hard enough as it is to stay top dog for any length of time, let alone in a technological even faster moving environment, coupled with a social mobility upheaval.

Streets, "oversold" is often a term used because of the TA RSI. It is instructive because when that indicator (which has a range between 0-100) falls below 20, then it is "oversold"

When he SP fell recently from 265p to 178p, the RSI at the bottom of the fall registered 15! (very oversold! )it immediately rallied to 205p and has been falling back since. Now at yesterdays close of 186.65p (so just 8p above that very oversold price of 178p), the RSI has a corresponding value of 32.51, leaving plenty of room to fall below 178p, so not actually, technically oversold at all.

It doesn't mean it WILL fall, but the odds are more likely than not that further falls are coming form a TA pov. If 178p goes then 150p looks to be the next support.

(FWIW, I would expect some sort of bull support to try and avert a fall through 178p)

St, She is Head Housekeeper and the stories of what people do now is just horrible. Rooms are trashed as a matter of course, grown men wetting the bed as a routine because they are so drunk, (with absolutely no shame about it at all). Its a bonus if when they are sick they get anywhere near a toilet.... Its all a bit too early but its not just pretty vile, its also a pretty sad picture of the world we live in too, of what has seen to become as acceptable.

Its ALL about outcomes. If vaccines stop national health services s being over whelmed and antivirals can maybe stop people being admitted to hospital or reducing their stay upon admittance to levels that are socially acceptable, then testing becomes largely irrelevant.

There is always going to be a demand for testing in some capacity but I think it will be a lot smaller than we expect (even now) and now of course the market is crowded in a way we never envisaged at the beginning.

TA is used mostly as a sort term indicator of likely future SP direction. So the further one looks back in time at a chart so the support/resistance lines will likely have less influence.

However if that is all that is available then you use what you have to hand!

In fact the most recent retrace retrace support was 175p but I would have been surprised if it had gone down that far so i looked further back to see if anything was higher and came across the 190p in Feb.

I totally take on board your point about so much has happened in the last 6 months to SYN making any chart useless, but the thing is (imo) the SP has nothing to do with the company.

This is always an area where Fundamental analysis and Technical analysis butt up against each other.

The SP is made up of future expectation, its not valuing the company as it stands today. (it loses money every year but is now valued at £400m so thats obviously not right.)

So even though the chart might be 8 months old and caused a high of 190p back in feb, if then the expectation was the company was going to shortly explode, then people paid up to 190p to be a part of that future potential SP increase. The fact that it may have been delayed by 8 months and now there is even more FA, to support a rise again, does not invalidate the feb high. (Does that make sense?)

I think Charts are a representation of the psychology of buyers and sellers and therefore not separated in the way you seem to imply?

(fwiw I saw 190p as the resistance/support line so it was no surprise to me to see it come back to about that figure (191p). generally people who use charts (and there are many), would see in this example, 190p and not 200p as "significant" as the support for a retrace, however on a daily close time interval the stock topped at 199.4p so now that is the current resistance to break through for further gains.

(Of course this may have been exactly what you were saying and I just misunderstood some bits of it :0))

it might be Jedi, but it must be tricky for the MM's to manage the market for buys and sells when there is so much interest in this stock right now.

It could have been that polygon could not get the stock any other way than through CFD's Perhaps MM's are struggling to match buys and sells and therefore need a bigger spread to cushion the risk they are taking on?
