(I think the charts are saying there is more to come beyond 190p....I think after the 175p stinker that 190p won't prove so onerous to overcome, but as ever time will tell.)

It will be interesting to see how it pans out now given what a a hard resistance 175p was.
It should trigger quite a lot of sells, so as is ay interesting to see how this goes over the next couple of hours. (It will be very very bullish if it goes through imo)

I didn't know about AVCT then Vegas. Small Bio-pharms have never been on my radar before (too risky) and I was alerted to this by a friend who said i should look at it in June just before the placing because of the LFT potential.

BITL, playing devils advocate... why doesn't everybody else here stop talking about LFT's and its imminent transformation of the company?

because by constantly failing to rationally discuss why there are delays it could be giving false hope to the "concerned".

The fact is this has been delayed by about 12 months now, with no clear explanation as to why form AVCT. We don't know when HUA will be approved, and we don't know what the demand for the AVCT test will be in this now crowded market place. The assumption is once we get it it will take off but there is no evidence that this will be the case. Airlines are placing orders now (and previously) to be ready to use LFT's. Why would they change to AVCT?

The only yardstick i see we have to make any sort of guestimate, is B2B sales and therefore I am pessimistic based purely on the seemingly slow uptake of the B2b test sales.

What none here to want to accept is that testing is a waste of money (I just spent £5 to find out i am fine or I don't feel very well I might have covid, so I spend £5 to confirm what i already thought)
It has value when there is no alternative, now with vaccines and anti virals and a hugely more crowded market, govt's and companies and individuals will all look to cut back on the need to test. Thats why it has a shelf life.

And also bear in mind apparently catching covid naturally gives the body greater resistance that vaccines for future covid infection and therefore the necessity for testing diminishes every day.

I am in for the cancer therapy not the LFT which i have stated,... ooh I don't know, ...a million times, when it was blindingly obvious that LFT timelines were constantly being missed. (it is almost November for crying out loud!)

The thing i find odd is that M19 spent £20m going into manufacture but seem content for the investment to stand idle.

The company was formed in April 20 but does not have to submit accounts for the year ending April 21 until Jan '22 so can't get a read on what the company is doing and what test are being sold(if any).

I also assume there is nothing to stop them selling the AVCT test B2B? but that is never mentioned by AS or anyone else so I assume the capacity available is not being used for that and yet there is a shortage (apparently) of LFT's

HUA will be welcome but surely through B2B there is enough demand through the EU & UK for 5m plus per month?
What is healthcare doing? are no hospitals, no care homes using the test?

Where is the Asia PacificCE mark that was so straightforward to get months ago?

This obsession many have with MM's is just the paranoia this BB is riddled with. There is no MM when the SP rises (well not that I remember any poster mentioning at the time, tended to be "we should all top up before it takes off").

How many stocks are there on aim and on the market generally? you really think that MM's devote this much time to this one stock? Why would they? They make good money on the spread. Everything you allude to is illegal. Why would they risk that on one stock to achieve what? More churn? there is enough already?

I have no idea and i suggest neither does anyone else, on how MM's in a practical sense balance and make an ordered market on small cap shares, and sure maybe some bits do happen around the edges occasionally, but to think that every odd event HAS to be MM's is as i say, just sounds paranoid.

This looks to me just classic misplaced anger because there is no "good" news coming when some had been wound up expecting it for the last 4-5 weeks.

You might be right Pedro, on the other hand you don't know either, and this board is paranoid so, you know, just saying.

Maybe it was just a mistake? Some body put in a buy at a high price not realising it can be filled as it was?

We don't need to look for conspiracy theories, but if you want one it might have be Ophidian doing it to boost the SP trying to get a lift at opening today? (See what I mean about conspiracy theories....)

I use the close of play share price as the time interval. (So daily).

I think the time interval used for looking at the charts and indicators should be relevant to the length of time you are likely to hold the stock.

When I day traded the bond markets back in the day I would have 1 min, 5 min and 15 min charts up with various indicators overlaid. I could short as well as go long and get in and out at any price I wanted so spreads were miniscule.

I do this now as a hobby for a bit of fun, and I have no capacity to short so I only to go long.

The spreads are typically too wide to day trade and fixed stops don't work on shares as if there is a big fall they can go through any stop and get filled much lower down. As a result of all those things I don't try and day trade and now look to anywhere from a few days to more recently several weeks for targets to be achieved. (I am in less of a rush these days!)

So, because I am looking over several days or more I use a daily close time interval.

And as Jez said earlier its a newbie thing to use as many indicators as possible when starting but over time you find out what seems to work best for you and keeping it as simple as possible seems to work pretty well for me and the RSI is my fav and only indicator (along with support and resistance levels) that I will make decisions on.
So for me it just helps time my entry and exit.

People who don't use charts (which is fair enough) tend to dismiss getting in a penny or two lower but these few pence here and there that translate to a % or two more profit than maybe would have been achieved by just buying when you felt like it, tend to add up over the months and years.

Its not for everyone but it seems to work for me. ATB

Ontarget, the RSi can be interpreted how the individual wants, but the band width to increase the odds of making the correct decision tends to be 20-80, rather than 30-70, in my experience.

Although its true to say "Rising stocks can stay in the 'overbought' zone for a long time." in reality its very rare.

And by rare I mean once a stock is 80 or above on the RSI its within 1 or 2 trading sessions before it unwinds.

If you use your bandwidth of 70 as a cue to a stock being over-bought then yes , maybe you are correct , but that's only because I don't see 70 as a reliable indictor of a stock being over-bought in the first place.

Well, its poised to break 176p barrier and have a go at 190p.

It really will be a bearish signal if it fails yet again...... But with the latest news supporting the SP it looks to me as though this is (at long bloody last), the time.
Just my opinion DYOR etc etc

well, the pull back has made a bit more room against the RSI which is all to the good. Just have to wait and see tomorrow if it goes up from here on retraces a bit further.

(I imagine there are a number of face palms now as I have just confidently stated the SP could go up or down tomorrow....)

absolutely getting out with a profit and de-risking prior to news is a perfectly sound, reasonable and good strategy, but I think what propels people most is fear and greed, and given in the example we are discussing, all the background (fundamental) news, ( not the BB BS), suggested an SP of 2-3 times the then current price prior to the news that was coming and it was an absolute slam dunk the news would be good.

(pretty much exactly what is being said here co-incidently)

I imagine therefore that many more got caught than did the de-risking you refer to.

Buts that's experience. (Its one of the reason I have my system, Take the profits here and there , sure you can miss the "big" multi bagger, but it always takes longer than forecast and it rarely comes off, so i work on the basis that I would rather make 5% in a week than a 100% in a year.

But its absolutely each to his/her own and what works for them. Nothing is remotely fool proof but there are basic tenet's of any system anyone uses: two of the most valuable in my book:
Never bet more than you can afford to lose
Protect your capital

I think Rum you might be referring to HE1 and the "argument "was his insistence that only fundamental research can win the day. Unfortunately for all involved (in HE1) that simply highlighted that no system is fool proof and only, ever, ever bet what you can afford to lose.
