Night_Watch - If you think we are out of the woods with 1/6th of the debt covered through the sale of assets and a risk of dilution in January , what are you smoking? On top of that, there is dodgy manipulation going on with the share price.

On what basis is the money built into the share price? The risk of the money being delayed until it's too late is high - Musevenie does'nt care if it takes another 10 years to develop the oil. He's not exactly relying on votes to get re-elected and Tlw aint on his christmas card list. The market will react to an RNS and may not move the sp as much as some of the rampers on here suggest.

Thanks for pointing out its an oil company - the point I was making is with the level of debt they are carrying current oil price doesn't produce FCF and Tlw needs to sell assets to meet commitments. All the discounted cash flow calculations in the world won't convince investors to take the risk, pariculalry institutions

Scaredycat, as a lth I always want to see the bright side in shares I'm invested in but the reality is Tlw is not only dependent on the oil price for level of profit - its also dependent on Poo for survival. The market sees tlw as high risk particularly the Uganda payment and look back at all the surprise disappointing rns's in recent times. The fact is Tlw lost the trust of investors and while Dorothy and the new team are doing very well in my opinion to win it back, it will take time. Just the other side of the argument.

I suppose the little matter of 2.8bln debt would'nt have anything to do with it?

Never mind PMO shareholders - trading in TLW is inexplicable. Looks like us TLW shareholders are getting screwed!!

Thanks for your comments TT/Android - I think the only reason they might not is the current share price. To raise 250ml they would need to double the shares in issue to 3 bln. They must be confident the 500mln will come in before the CMD by arranging it for Nov and bringing the RBL re-determination forward to January. CEO has certainly hit the ground running.

LTH but new to this board.

Many interesting contributions so thanks for educating me sometimes and giving opinions. My one fear is come January our holdings could be diluted through a placing or debt for equity swap. Remember that 30% of shareholders rejected a resolution that enabled Tullow to issue shares through this route but a simple majority got it through. The company has re-iterated wanting a more conservative capital structure and I can't help thinking the next four months has a bit of choreography about it. Any views.........
