Except it wasn't a bull market when those hedges were put in place. Only 50% of production will be hedged from May 2022. Self funded increases in production will produce cashflow to reduce debt. 300mln reduction in 2021. You keep investing in Enq and I'll stick with Tlw. Let's see whose better off in 12 months....
Key point on the call this morning is that 2022 capex is "flexible" and was estimated to get from 750ml operating cashflow to 100mln free cashflow. In other words free cashflow could be significantly higher
RE: Rahul Dhir should be sacked...26 Jan 2022 07:33
You'd rather Tullow go full steam exploring and wait 5 years for a return. Unfortunately even if they were successful, Tlw doesn't have the luxury or finance to wait for a long development cycle. But of course you know that, and that's why your posts were never credible
2022 production guidance and hedging is key for tomorrow - we could possibly get news on our new CFO. My hope is that there is no news on Kenya as I think this will impact the SP much more as a stand alone RNS.
Balls of steel required when investing in Tullow - having said that, provided OP stays up and Tlw continue to deliver increased production on the back of its self funded strategy, the SP will catch up. GLA LTH
Given the sharp rise in the last 3 weeks I'm surprised the price has held up so well with the usual profit taking - I assume the big trades have kept it at these levels. Could be Azalor adding...........
Two late trades after close of 2.8mln each in the last 2 days. Down as sells but late reporting means they could be either. Given the resilience of the SP my guess is they are buys. With the relatively high volumes we are getting rid of some profit takers which is no bad thing ahead of the next leg up, potentially next week.
Deadline for announcement of Strategic Partner8 Jan 2022 09:33
General elections are scheduled to be held in Kenya on 9 August 2022. Voters will elect the President, members of the National Assembly and Senate, county governors and members of the 47 county assemblies. Expect an announcement of strategic partner latest June/July
Interesting timing for this to surface just three weeks away from a Trading update. If the update was going to be bad, I wouldn't be pushing myself out there,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,??
If you look at the average level of shorters Tlw has had in the last 8-10 years, the present no. of shares being shorted is approaching that now. I believe that shorters is a non-story also.
RE: Cmon tullow you peice of sheet let's see 60p this year5 Jan 2022 07:37
Never seen II's anywhere near 70% for Tullow - agree with Slift/Antonvb that it is a need for further confirmation on business performance and lingering investor confidence and trust in the company following 2019 fiasco? Kosmos is flying having raised 500ml to increase stake in Ghana and with a higher level of debt than Tlw.
FDP was submitted before the deadline of 31st December - the only deadline in existence. A general update including Kenya was given a matter of weeks ago during the investors update. They are actively looking for a strategic partner - ThERE IS NO OTHER NEWS
Yes she took charge when the damage was done but she was getting paid (along with the other directors) to ensure there was proper oversight. The majority of directors had a finance background but we ended up in total financial turmoil - asleep at the wheel I say.....................
