Maybe because something in Tesla changed. Tlw has been good at year after year of excuses just like 2021 when we had 280mln of pre tax profits only to have a post tax loss of 86mln. The reason? Because we spent 30 mln on advice to refinance only to find that the financing costs were'nt allowable for tax. Maybe that's why Les got booted out, who knows. Something needs to change at Tlw. I'm long in Tlw but I have a right to an opinion that doesn't align with the numerous rampers on here.

They are reporting an existing holding and are obliged to if they also have a holding in Capricorn which they do. The 31st May is the last day prior to the Merger RNS.

There are two ways to achieve the 1.5 times ratio that Rahul has set.
1. Reduce debt
2. Increase EBITDAX
He has flagged that we are now on the look out for opportunities to participate in acquiring assets of oil majors in Africa. That implies any excess cash will go to growing the business and not reducing debt i.e option 2. Other than that it would be a cash raise which I doubt he is thinking of right now. If 1.5 times EBITDAX is appropriate for a company this size then that can be achieved by increasing profitability with debt reduction limited to what Tlw has committed to.

Rahul has alluded to this on a few occasions and the last paragraph re-iterates. That Nigeria rumour may have substance. Other than that, nothing much to remark on.

Undoubtedly recession is likely but you are not considering the supply side for oil and the effect of sanctions on Russia so it's not a straightforward relationship now. The OP has a chance of staying over $100 depending on how Saudi Arabia plays it's hand.

is crucial for Tullow as an investment and next week they need to demonstrate the strategy is about to produce tangible results. 2002 production is flat (that's after spending millions on drilling in 2001 just to keep still). The underlying production of existing assets must increase soon in order to deliver shareholder value given there's no dividend in sight for foreseeable future. Kenya and Guyana could go either way, the former dependent on the quality of the deal.
Over the next 9 months:-
1. Oil price needs to hold above $100
2. Ghana drilling must show credible signs its paying off and TEN needs to start to get sorted
3. Free cash flow must improve significantly
4. Ghana gas deal needs to demonstrate a good deal for Tlw and not just for Ghana
5. Kenya needs to be a demonstrably sound deal for Tlw

None of the above is unachievable and for once the long suffering shareholder should be prioritized over other interests including self interests of Tlw employees, none of which have ever spent their own cash in buying shares in Tlw.

If a takeover was probable, the insiders would know about it long before us on a public bb and instead of the price tanking it would go in the opposite direction. A takeover will not happen but Kenya news will come - be patient!!!

What do you mean "he's been gone for months"? This is a Ftse 250 company - you don't get weekly updates on every roll of loo paper saved as part of the cost cutting project. The company is obliged to disclose any news that could be judged as SP sensitive. Maybe, just maybe, there is no news yet.
