Yes Keith Hill got a little over enthusiastic and could be accused of causing a false market by naming a date but the mysterious disappearance of Rahul is more concerning. My guess is he's been kidnapped by those shorters who bedevil Tlw sp every time it goes down 0.05p - those evil manipulators!!!!!!!!!!

So when the 10th May comes and goes with no news on Kenya, I can't wait to see how takeover "speculation" is replaced with "absolute certainty". The fact is there is no reason whatsoever to think any of the majors have the slightest interest in Tlw. Like it or not we are small fry not even on their radar. Tlw has good prospects in its own right and something may be brewing but this "Rahul hasn't been seen since March " hyperbole - who the hell would see him? Maybe he has donned sunglasses and a false moustache. And before anyone agrees with me, I'm being sarcastic. This is like Monty Python.....

If you haven't already done so, listen to AOI CEO's latest conference call (or read transcript) - there was no gentle hint or fireside chat. I've no intention of switching to AOI as the frustrating thing is I think Tlw has better prospects but are not doing themselves any favours with their approach

As one poster said, we have to look to Kosmos and Africa Oil for news of our biggest investments. They could try to be more forthcoming with news for a start. There is not a hope of a dividend for at least two years - we really should just accept that. More reason for Tlw management to support the share price by not being so conservative with its approach to sharing news. Capital gain is the only way they will deliver shareholder value in the near/medium term

On a positive note at least the SP is being manipulated in the 50's instead of the 40's and 30's

FFS -Tullow are not frantically going around looking for a partner to beat some deadline. The real deadline is set by elections in August and Kenyatta is determined to kick this off before he goes. Talks with a partner have been ongoing since last year - its only down to timing of the announcement in my view. The only issue for Tlw is the quality of the deal.

No wonder BoD don't buy shares with their own money like us

No disrespect Adieuk32 but posts like this normally has the affect of jinxing the Tlw sp. Everyday we'll start counting down on this so called deadline and when we reach it - damp squib!! Seen it so many times with this share - hope I'm wrong

This is a standard resolution in most companies that has to get renewed approval. It just allows them flexibility should circumstances arise - it doesn't in any way indicate any intention. Before we know it, there will be posts such as "..wait until they start buying their own shares - the SP will rocket!!!!!"...

Small thing but it has been known for some time that they would spud in May yet Tlw continued to say "later in the year" even up to last week. Talk about playing down the company's prospects (literally). Someone needs a course in marketing..........

That goes some way to explaining, though I think your revenue estimate may be a little optimistic - half their current annual revenue in a day? They would now be vastly undervalued if that's true.
