As far as I can see, no surprises and solid performance in other non holiday sections. Demand for cruising remains high so outlook is good and secure finances medium term to withstand any shocks in the next few months. So steady and as expected IMO.

Will be surprising as news of such a deal will have leaked by now. However, we did have the spike to about 360 a month or so ago for no apparent reason so it is possible there will be a surprise announcement tomorrow. GLA

Always a sign that we are close when a frenzy of post appear advising people not to buy as it will drop lower. Seen this pattern before a few times. I am holding and if it does drop to even more ridiculous lows, I will buy some more. Shorters are a PI's friend - allows us to buy cheaper than we should be able to. IMO

Thanks. At least it's an option and better than keeping the ship's unused and paying a fee for docking.

Would you go on a cruise if you could not disembark at the ports?
The reason I ask is it is conceivable that the only holiday option up to Autumn may be to embark and disembark at a UK port. If EU ban UK entry due to the Kent variant. This will devastate short haul flights and holidays. Cruising may be the only outlet.
Never gone cruising so not sure how many would be happy to stay on the ship for the duration of 1 to 2 weeks.

Latpulldown, thanks. Excellent summation. There is just one minor correction:
'Those infected previously have cover against the new variants as well – believed 5 months' - this is 5 months at least - they are still following up this study cohort - it is called the Siren study and planned to continue for 12 months . Currently data is available for up to 5 months. So in time we may find cover against re-infection may remain for much longer. Immunisations do make the study data more difficult to interpret however and not sure how they plan to separate this issue. ATB

IMO, this is how these things can be orchestrated. Wouldn't rule this out for sure.

Due to extended lockdown news etc. The negative sentiments are not a surprise given the propensity for negative news to be given more coverage.
Vaccine roll out happening at pace so cases will drop off a cliff at some point in the next month.
We're still on course for May/June sailing and given the reluctance of EU to open borders to UK flights, cruising may be the few holiday options available. Saga have it nailed with the covid secure certificate and vaccination policy.
Hold on tight to these golden tickets!

The negativity on here after a couple of down days. Not long now to the next trading update in feb. Brent has been steady in mid 50's. BP is not going to stay this low for long. Anyone trading for a few percentage will be chancing it but it may work, so good luck to you. for me, it's just a hold. Happy to stay invested and am not worried in the least. just amused by all the negative talk when it has drifted down a tad. ATB

This is a puzzle. Considering how much the share price has moved, i would have expected some decelerations. Maybe these are being delayed for some reason?

The publicity is great. Social media outrage is of no consequence if older folk feel more secure and bookings rise.
I bet other companies follow this path too.
