Q4 results reflect the culmination of a disaster year for oil producers - and BP have managed to get past somehow. Future assumptions are based on oil price lower than it is now. This is therefore IMO the low point past and signals a gradual pull upwards. Dividend is very reasonable in the circumstances and still a lot higher than many other companies. Hold and stay patient. 2121 is the start of recovery IMO.

Given the vaccination programme is going well, the SP is not responding concurrently. Hopefully once there is evidence hospitalizations after vaccination is available this will respond. 2 weeks before this is available so not long.

Sorry if this has already been discussed, but just catching up with reading the news and telegraph is reporting blackrock have reduced short position from 3.8 to 3.1%. Hopefully further reductions will follow next week.

Rocket, you need to be patient. 117 is still a bargain price for this share long term. Yes, we would all love to have bought at 101 or there abouts. Only the really lucky or super experienced will have called it, mostly lucky ones.
In order to prosper in this volatile times, you will need patience. Bouncing in and out of stock is what leads to losing your shirt. If you think the fundamentals are good, sit tight. If they are not good, give yourself a good telling off for buying in the first place!
If it drips to 1 pound? So what, as long as in 6 months it is 2 pounds. ATB

Poker, so do the research, sell shares or dont buy if you think it's not a good company and by all means, advise your clients. All proper and good. Borrowing shares to sell and in effect betting it will fall, when you are in effect controlling the fall whilst regulations allow you to delay declaration by days etc is where it becomes immoral. The process is so opaque and weighted in favour of the big hedge fund shorters. That's why it's a problem, not the principle. Yes the regulations allow this, but that doesn't make it right. ATB

There is little doubt in my mind, the risk of losing all the profit, will be giving them a lot of headaches. However, they are human so will be prone to greed, much like us so could hold out. What is for sure is their cosy world is no longer as comfortable.

Agree. Tide is definitely with a massive recovery. Now, sit back and let it happen. Vaccine after vaccine is proving effective with only the odd one not working. Future is bright.

Shorters will be feeling the pinch. Good to see it is not just retail PI's buying but Jangho too. This will be very hard for shorters to ignore. Remember nearly 30 % in the hands of Mooky and family. Add this to Jangho and it is not far of 45% in hands of people who will not be bullied into selling.
Absolutely the shorters will be having some uncomfortable thoughts and sooner or later - probably sooner than later - they will reduce risk and start closing. The rocket boosters are close to ignition. Don't miss out. IMO, do not invest what you cannot afford, be sensible etc of course. ATB

Richy, ditto. No issue really with minor retraces. Shorts will be massively nervous about the buying fever catching them out. In time this will feel like a massive bargain. I will just hold now for over 200.

Forgot to say, will not be selling for a good while - at least unto 200+ so if shorters want to buy back they will need to give up some of their ill gotten gains!

Got in at 123.8 which is lower than I was expecting so pleased with that. Has increased my average, but the short squeeze is well and truly on here. Keep it going amigos. ATB
