The divi cut was in response to Brent price and analysts predicting long term ave in the 50s. That was clearly wrong so not sure why another reset is not possible.

The SP will soon reflect this. Ridiculous mismatch currently.

Lenin, I think you are right. This venture is less about profit and more about the carbon offset probably. So if it's not making a loss, it's all fine. IMO

There is a disconnect between brent (now over $60/pb), price at the pumps and lagging SP - this should correct soon. I assume there is uncirtanity about future profit margins even with higher oil prices given BP needs to invest heavily in reliables up front. Am dubious about this strategy but I assume analysts for BP have churned through the detail and this is the way forward. Regardless, in 2-3 years - these prices will seem a steal so my shares are staying with me waiting to double before I even think about selling. Meanwhile divi is welcome even in reduced amount. ATB.

Passengers need a letter or certificate from their GP that they've been vaccinated. Easy enough to do. I don't see what the issue is here.

So whilst they may be indulging in a bit of trading this SP will still be resilient. April/May resumption of operations is still on and possibly earlier if vaccination rates are maintained at current levels. IMO

Is inevitable even if the UK gov't does not want to accept this openly. Companies and hosting countries will insist on this. Saga were way ahead of the game. Since the return of Sir R, saga has definitely improved decision making and is now on the money.
On another note, I hope the anti Vax brigade enjoy the watching the rest of us jet and cruise away this summer.

Notsolucky, not a route I would normally reccomend but it's not daft really. The divi will probably cover the interest payment if you pass the interest free period and the capital in 6 months will be much better IMO. Just nervous time glued to daily SP movements. Hope this works out.

Also remember, deaths lag cases by 2 to 3 weeks and cases lag vaccination by 3 weeks. So ongoing high deaths is not a surprise.
Plus vaccination of over 80s is just about complete. So lots of data to come yet. Anyone thinking vaccines have not helped are jumping out too soon IMO. ATB

Thebeer, me too. Was watching for some time and can't see it dropping too far from here. Upside is huge and once vaccine related drop in deaths and transmission starts to accelerate, this will re rate fast.
Yes deaths are still high but this is legacy infection related from before the vaccination roll out. Will be another 7 to 10 days before partial vaccine effect kicks in. Not long to go.

Touching distance of 60$/pb. And BP and Shell remain 50% of pre pandemic levels. It's a freebie now for those willing to hold at least medium term. IMO

Hi Pal, good to see old names still here. I should have got back in when it was in the 60s or 70s but was wary of volatility. Think this is probably where the new bottom is, hence bought back in. Now just need to hold and wait. Great company it was and will be.

Having sold before RI, I've been watching from the sidelines and decided this is now undervalued and have bought back in. Here is hoping this dip ends soon. The way the UK is progressing, we should get on top of this pandemic and travel will rebound for sure. It's only a matter of time. Rr has defence and energy too going great so once aviation improves, these will rocket. ATB

Is just getting robbed. Too easy for the big boys to spook and hoover. Hold tight IMO is the best option here.

New and Happy, Agree a takeover attempt is more than plausible and this depressed SP despite brent recovering pretty much to pre-pandemic levels, suggests other manipulation afoot.
