Blencowe Resources: Aspiring to become one of the largest graphite producers in the world. Watch the video here.
Impossible to know how the market will react but core business is sound and will pick up once macro turns. US is the biggest market and it is an election year so H2 will hopefully be better than the very cautious tone presented here.
Remains IMO a gift under 50p per share, so agree is a buying op if there is a drop. Atb and imo.
Intriguing - first apollo now Sidara. Must see value and if Wood will not play, why not pick up PFC for a fraction of the cost? These firms can easily underwrite the debt and get a chunk of equity for it at a steal. IMO
The US warehouse and stock has cost a lot of capital. Of course this was going to dent the balance sheet. But it is an investment. Debt in that context is very serviceable and low compared to UK peers. I really am surprised by this doom and gloom about what is in reality very modest levels of debt for a company with this level of turnover and revenue.
Investment requires up front costs. Why did anyone expect this to be any different?
The biggest beneficiary here is MA - he is probably rubbing his hands in glee at the thought of a back door TO that he would not have expected at these knockdown prices. Let's hope LTH's get at least some degree of fair value for having invested early. ATB
It's actually a relief to see some informed debate here rather than the usual trading of insults this share in particular has been plagued by. Well done folk and please carry on as I am finding this quite interesting. Atb
I wonder if now is the time for a move? BOO is probably as vulnerable as ever. This time next year, things will be a lot better given the outlook for inflation and costs significantly lower. Let's see what unfolds. I'm keeping my holding as is and will wait for the move up. Atb and imo only of course.
In line with expectation. Projection of FCF for FY25 and investment completed so outgoings will ease. I think this is one to hold patiently until the sunny uplands of 25. Atb and no point projecting SP movements, as that is a mystery to most of us here!
Same here. Shein is under the spotlight in the US so opportunity there for BOO is there. US has sucked up a lot of investment recently so looking forward to seeing if it pays off. Gla for decent news in the update.
Not quite so i feel. The likes of Asfari, Apollo, perhaps Wood group may wish to pick it up and do the restructuring themselves. Given how much Apollo were prepared to pay for Wood group, this will be something they may be considering. Or Asfari. I am not deluded - i recognise the risk as does everyone else i assume. ATB
Maverick,
i feel you may have a point here. There remains a massive risk of near zero return for shareholders but there is also a reasonable chance that the large shareholders may engage in some sort of PE backed takeover at these prices. This is not quite game over. I sold all my holding - 50% at 27p and the rest at 22p. Took a big haircut. But on the basis now that there is a slither of a chance, iv'e taken a nibble back at 11.4p. Perhaps a fool and a hopeless cause. But here it is. ATB
