Leeds, I agree. Ive added to my persimmon holding and taken a position here at 79. In it for long term, retirement dividend income. The % return at current SP, made this investment decision straightforward for me. Atb and this is not advice btw.

Yes, that is my reading too. Focus on margin not revenue and debt continues to fall. Guidance maintained. Steady and solid recovery. Growth would have put massive boosters underneath this SP, but that is for another day. For now, solid base forming. Share price remains undervalued IMO. Atb

Times change Nige. What SMS said then and current reality of the macro are different. Also, when one is 80+, one has legacy firmly in sight. With the right sweetener of a plum position of influence, IMO, a landing zone for merger is possible.

There is no place in business for legacy emotion. WPP is under new management unburdened by any legacy issue with MS.

WPP has the scale needed to transform the AI knowhow of monks. The business makes sense.

I wouldn't bet against the return of the prodigal son, having his redemption moment as Chair of the combined operation. In this sage like position he can continue his tour of the conference circuit enjoying his last hurrah. IMO
