I don't read posts by tacit as they are full of conspiracy theories that are nonsense in my opinion so have used my option to block his posts - may be very clever but equally felt Tacit was being harmful with all the anti-vaccine chat. lives of people is no trivial or laughing matter. I know Tacit has an avid fan base here but these are my views. ATB.

Suggested an almighty squeeze in production vs demand in second half of 2021 and 2022. Need to stay patient as a sharp correction is well overdue. I think 500+ is very possible within 12 months. Green transformation will take to 2040-2050. Long time yet. Meanwhile no one is spending money on oil exploration so the amount of extractable oil is finite. IMO

Happy, Agree recovery period is overdue. Should be a good week for oil. OP futures are holding steady at 60 plus. Q1 and Q2 2021 results will pave the way back to 400 by middle of 2021 IMO.

Chances are, sfo used evidence to extract a guilty plea from Lufkin, which is inadmissible currently after the new ruling.
Which should result in the case being thrown out. Hopefully. ATB

In April last year the NHS was told to discharge as many as possible and as quickly as possible to make room for the expected 100k plus admissions in first wave. Patients were discharged without any pre discharge testing as far as I know. This time, the rules appear to be very different. Everyone going to a care home or those needing community staff support need to have a pre discharge negative test and if they were positive for covid - they cannot be discharged for 2 weeks plus a negative covid swab. So it is no surprise the number in hospital is as high as first wave even though the actual number still sick is much lower IMO. Comparing 2 different set of rules to justify keeping restrictions in place. A ruddy scandal and the press is too ignorant/lazy to report facts. SAGE love the power they have now and will not let go easily.

FI, cases are only at last April's peak because last April we did barely any testing. In actual fact, when projections are done cases now are similar to where we were in the summer with barely any restrictions. The reticence now to release of restrictions is the worry Kent new variant will rebound more quickly once lockdown eases and pockets of SA variant may be around. Sage have Boris by the short and curlies as he knows they will feed him to the wolves in any enquiry post pandemic. Sage care only about suppression of the virus. The economy, rest of our health outcomes etc are not their business. They will be judged only by the pandemic outcomes so they will want to come out looking like they've done great. Plus they are living the dream in the spotlight so why end it, IMO.

Has dipped slightly. Must mess SP of oilers and connected companies will rise! Only joking of course. I think a consolidation period is now in place. The market's are awaiting trends on lockdown easing from post vaccine data. This is looking promising but actual results will define speed of recovery IMO. Israel and UK data over the next month is critical and probably just a holding pattern until then. The city always finds out before we do. I'm optimistic from my reading of the information but risk remains. So agree with the statement that it could go to 50 or 500 in 12 months. Plus the bribery issue remains a drag. I'm not being negative but just accepting there is downside risk in the short term. Equally if it dips below 120, I'm adding more as the longer this is suppressed the more the chance of a rapid re rate when risks are removed and my money is on this sooner rather than later. ATB

This is looking tasty. The SP remains hugely undervalued currently. Looney and his green strategy may now allow institutions to re invest in BP. They will now be hugely tempted. Once that starts, the re rate will be quick. IMO hold and wait.

Will soon need to reflect in oil companies SP. Now may not be the time to sell. IMO
