To me it seems like the company is in "waiting" mode
All the marketing has been about live events, festivals and so on.
So now they have done a live event with with LP
Everything worked, from the marketing, ticket sales and streaming to the packaged recording.
You have to say "ok Melody, what next ?"
You would think that they would be announcing a schedule of events, not an App upgrade.
I have no problem with the App upgrade work as it points to a close relationship with FB, but is an upgrade itself worth an announcement, or is it the element concerning availability on other platforms/headsets that should be paid attention to, due to the instant uplift of potential user numbers and the demographic most likely to have those headsets, ie young gamers.
If you believe in the FB buyout route then you don't care about any of this, but if you just want the business to prosper then opening up further distribution channels is a significant event.
