I don't know where the raw data is published, if at all.
You want to see lower spikes on the left side of the graph than on the right
Spikes will never be more than 100, they are a percentage
Think of everything being relative to the day when there was the most interest, it is this day for which 100% is set
If tomorrow there is even more interest the 100% value gets reset, and all the data gets re-rated
You want to see lower spikes on the left, with the highest spike in the right
Generally for VR you see spikes on the left which are related to major news (ABBA, Coldplay, Liam Payne) and product (Rift, Gear & Go) launches and a base of interest to the right which indicates a number of false dawns, or the "coming soon" scenario seen with MelodyVR
The Quest chart could be different as the interest looks like it might catch/pass the initial announcement spike, which would be unusual, and might indicate a game changer
What is of interest is the regional breakdown that Trends gives
For some VR searches you find that France is a VR hotspot, who would have guessed
