I don't think there will be any sign put out for a takeover.
The link with FB has been well trailed such that if FB do takeover then there will just be an RNS and bang it will be sold.

So, if you are investing in the belief that you will get an uplift on that basis then you need to put your money in and close you eyes to the daily ups and downs of the share.

The live concert is a public proof of concept.

So, as long as;
Liam turns up.
The stream works and is unintrupted.
The cameras all work
The sound works
People watch

Then they will have proven that their business works.
Melody will pronounce the gig as a huge success.

My only issue with TA on small start ups is that I believe that they are more likely to announce something that shifts the price than a larger established business.

Whether it is a "buy out", or "its all too difficult" such businesses always have a surprise in store for you.

I think the key thing here is that Occulus Go sales figures are described using words like "millions" for overall sales, or "hundreds of thousands" where shorter times periods are considered.

Nobody describes sales as being in the "thousands" whichever report or article you are looking at.

I shall also miss;
Being sat at the back of the O2 trying to see the stage
Being sat up the side of the O2 getting a crick in my neck and suffering a bit of vertigo
Being sat at the O2 (uncomfortable seats)
