6 months ago they raised 2 years worth of cash and now some are saying that they are running out.

It is clear that the fundraise was to get them through the inevitable low point where they have launched and nothing much was doing.

Personally I would call that good management, others may take the view that getting enough cash in at the opportune moment was bad management.

OK, so not regular news every 5 minutes like some companies, however the news that is given is meaningful and of significance.

I tend to think that NBA basketball is a much smaler niche within the general population than the music market, as well being largely of interest only in the USA.

Music has numerous different segments and sectors, appeals to both sexes in equal measure and is a worldwide business.

In short, the number of potential consumers for music vastly outweighs those for NBA.

In an internet business market size is everything.

This is a UK company promoting its product in the USA.
If you are UK based then you will not see anything.

I think the battle lnes are being drawn in the music VR space at the moment as you can see Google and Facebook squaring off in the not too distant future.

Microsoft and Amazon are apparently nowhere at the moment, but this could change at a moments notice because we don't know what they are worling on, or who they might decide to buy.

MVR appear to have backed the Facebook horse, perhaps they are the Facebook horse, either way they have the best licence and record company agreements in the western world (ie not China) and a possible tie up in China via Icculus and Xaomi.

CEEK are a bit behind the curve, but money can change everything.

MVR are not a twitter, snapchat or a instagram as they actually have to do something for their money, whereas the aforemention are just apps (ok a bit of a simplification I know) which have been put out there with no constraints on who can access them and "we" the users have liked them.

No matter how much people like MVR they have to have a GO or a Gear headset and so there is a physical limitation on the audience which just does not exist for the other Apps

Who will have seen the traffic levels for MVR compared to other apps.
Who will know how engaged users are compared to other apps
Who needs to diversify into something a little less contentious

If you look for the last 3 days then all you see is sells.

This seems really strange to me, having looked at this company for some while now.

Could it be that someone (Merian) is finally hoovering up some shares to close their short ?

If you go to similarweb.com you can get an estimate of web traffic based on the website ranking.

For Melody they show 25,000 per month in October last year, rising to 75,000 visits in December.

The web page rose tremendously in ranking in December, obviously due to the visits.
However, they still have a way to go.

If yopu look at the Niall Horan GIF on the Melody twitter feed they show website then they show a headset being used to wathc VR.

The headset being used is utilising a mobile phone.

This would suggest that they have a mobile phone app that works, I guess it is in testing.

Am I seeing something wrong ???

All the info I have seen on cameras so far indicates to me that they are in fixed positions.

So, question.

Is there a problem or issue with moving VR cameras ?

Could we get roving VR cameras ?

Could we get the VR camera on a cable system that works above the action ?

Or would we all be suffering nausea problems ?

Anyone know ?

BA - don't think you are right to "adjust" Superdata's headset numbers the way you have.

The quote from the link is;

So Superdata has already done the sort of shenanigans with the sales numbers that you have proposed.

You either believe their number or not.

I think I read elsewhere that sales of the GO in the first 3 months were around 300,000, which would tie in with the 1.1M value to end December, assuming that sales gained a head of steam as the year progressed, and there was an uplift at Christmas.
