Checking sales estimators that work on the sales rank indicates that Occulus are selling over 50,000 units a month.

The number of reviews on amazon.com for the 'Go' is over 10 times that of the number of reviews on amazon.co.uk

So, a much large sales push in the USA for the 'Go' than in the UK, hence the TV ad campaign in the USA.

Would think the upcoming live gig is going to be a US star,not a UK one.
