Have to say that I believe that the sp will be news, not results, driven for the next 6 months.
There will be announcements on live gigs and terratorial expansion, these will counter any poor perception of any initial results.
We might see a bit of upward creep before the live gig announcement, then depending on how that is received we will either takeoff or plop.
Don't see why any serious short investor in at 8 or 9p would not cash out now and take a good profit, as trying to cash out near to, or on, the announcement of a live gig, which if well received, would see those profits gone in a flash. Seems like they are taking a chance, or on the other hand buying nearly 1% of the company would push the price up 2 or 3p anyway, so perhaps they are doing small sneaky buys as we speak.

I would suggest that the region where the most headsets have been sold will be the target for the first live show.
If FB have any say in the matter, which some think they do, then it will be in the USA with a US "star" performer.

A UK show may placate UK investors, but whether it makes financial sense is another matter.

Do we want to sell 5 times as manytickets in he US as we would in the UK, or not.

I personally see a great future with regionalistion of MVR's output, having said that the first step will indicate the direction of travel in the near term - remember Steve Harmison's opening ball in Oz

Restless - The only thing I am unclear on in my mind is whether MVR have "promised" a live gig being broadcast before Christmas (cue cynics "which Christmas") or a live gig annouced/confirmed before Christmas.

Don't forget that for the last 6 months MVR have been learning how people actually interact with their App, what camera positions work, which ones don't and so on.
Just think what would have been said on these boards if they had jumped straight into live gigs with cameras in all the wrong places.

Petebo - if you track back then in the summer you will find that either SH or AM said that MVR were signed up with 73 festivals, no further details were added.

Melody hung their hat on live gigs, not on the likes of Ibiza so it is not surprising that the market didn't rerate the sp.
They have to show that the live proposition works before the sp will rerate or a buy out might appear.

Only a small % are said to have VR headsets connected to thier PC's, however they also said back in July that monthly active VR users on Steam had increased by 160% compared to a year prior.

Not sure how you end up with only a small % having VR headsets on a VR site with such huge user numbers, but hey stats say what you want.

I take from this that VR adoption is more than doubling year on year.

Point is, Melody are now clearly a business.

No the glasses don't have VR functionality ..... yet.
But the product is a base upon which to build, so VR versions may not be as far away as people might expect.

The current crop of headsets has taken years to develop to where they are now, so if you asked "how long to develop VR glasses ?" then the knee jerk response for most people would be "years".
I was just suggesting that VR glasses might actually be closer than you think.

cardboard headsets means access to a whole new demographic with lower incomes, of which there are hundreds of millions, all with mobile phones, this is a dream scenario.

If flat cardboard headsets are going to be sent out then this would indicate an app launch on Android and iPhone platforms, which is something that was alluded to in the summer update.

Themis - having watched MVR for quite some time I would suspect that the criptic comment is referring to something that we are not really aware of and that will influence the sp in an upwards direction.

By the way, has anyone considered the possibility of an ultimate tie up with MTV.
If you look at MVR's logo it would fit into the bottom of MTV's capital M quite nicely.
