I think that very most artists just feed at the biggest trough, so to speak.
So you have the chicken and egg thing whereby artists will promote themselves on successful platforms, eg "see my facebook page" etc etc, but because MVR is not yet sucessful they do not see a need to promote themselves using it.
This will change in time, but MVR need to do their bit as no business can rely on its customers to promote them, they have to put the hard miles in themselves.

Jimmy - I am happy to focus on the £7k of income because that number is only going to get bigger and at some point in the not to distant future it will go exponential.

Even if we do think about spin outs, we must not forget tMVR now has a significant staffing level.
All these people will be doing things so, compared to previous years, I expect the pace of things to accelerate.
(Some might say this would not be hard !)

I don't think EVRH will develop new niches as such, however I do think they will spin out or spawn new companies from MVR headed by relevant staff with some sort of significant incentive, much like you see happening at some of our leading Universities.
How the market will react to such spin outs and how much value is given away by the parent to get something going will be crucial questions.

I don't think "income" figures will be relevant for quite some time as there will be many free and/or introductory elements to the business as they try to attract users/subscribers.

Also there is a good positive piece in The Telegraph about Live Nation, who we happen to be signed up with.
The piece also mentions the O2 as being a gap in Live Nation's portfolio. MVR is also signed up with the O2.
So no gap in MVR's coverage.

I know this is all UK centric, but it does demonstrate the joined up thinking of MVR in a valuable market.

Doubt there will be news on Tuesday, but who knows, they could just go and announce their first live gig with some mega star.
I think however, that after this week it is possible to say that there is now huge resistance to any drop through 7p.

I picked up my first batch at 70p then sold out at 125p as I was convinced it was going to drop back and I could buy in again at around 100p.
I have no idea where, when, or even if, this is ever going to fall back now.
Very annoyed with myself.

I think EVRH is slightly different to VRS in that VRS produced their product then have have been, and will continue to, announce significant collaborations, whilst EVRH announced their collaborations and then went on to produce their product.

Either way both companies are differentiated in their market place with a leading product, although I can't help but feel that both will, within the next year, announce something that will truly send their sp's soaring.

Just an opinion.

As has been previously said here by others, one way to look at the behaviour of MVR is to consider that they have demonstrated all aspects of their except the live show, which is the last piece of their jigsaw puzzle.
Why would you demonstrate these things ?

I would suggest that you would do this if someone was looking.

Last year around this time there was a similar drop.
For those with short memories the sp bounced of 6p due to huge interest at that level.
So whilst I don't expect 10p tomorrow, I equally don't expect to see 6p again.

I have to agree, everything looks primed for a "proper launch".

I say this because even though they have released the App, it still feels like they flying underneath the radar.
However 72% of downloaders going on to "consume" content is not bad.

The O2 contract is a big positive and should not have been buried in this RNS.

So who is the prominent media channel that they mention ?

The problem I forsee is gauging what are good numbers and what is bad. They are aiming at a huge market but they have a small presence so even if they have a high hit rate with Oculus customers how will we know that as Oculus don't release any numbers themselves. So let's say they report 10,000 downloads, is this good or is this bad.. Perhaps they will not report anything on downloads. For me, if they report any sort of income that will be good news as it will show that people are prepared to pay for this type of entertainment.

I think this is just drifting until we get an RNS which indicates that the direction of travel is going to work, even if only when reading between the lines.
There is so much that is positive with this company, but the age old complaint of poor communication remains, perhaps an RNS saying that a "Communications Director" has been appointed might be in order.

I get the feeling that MVR are chasing around with lesser names to prove their business.
Look at it from a different angle.
If they sold a live gig with some megastar and it didn't work, then they would be consigned to years in the App dustbin.
If they sold said gig, the new users get a wow experience, but nothing else to look at, then again, years in the App dustbin.
When they sell that first megastar they will have to have a well populated store, so to speak.
