I couldn't find any data on scrap copper usage in cars. The thing is that the number of new cars that are proposed to be built would represents a huge increase in the amount of copper is use around the world, which can only initially be fulfilled by "new" copper., same for infrastructure. When the market has stabilised and we are all in electric cars then recycling can really take over. So come what may, either new copper is mined, from new mines, we keep using hydrocarbons, or something else that is currently not in the mainstream.

Let's do the math Annual car sales worldwide = 90 million'ish Additional copper needed to produce an electric car compared to a normal one = 50 Kg Total additional copper production needed = 90,000,000 x 50 = 4,500,000,000 Kg Or 4,500,000 Tonnes (4.5M Tonnes) Current worldwide production is just over 20M Tonnes So worldwide copper production has to rise by around 25% to meet demand. All this without thinking about infra-structure requirements, which will be huge because of the immense change needed to wiring capacities.

Calculations suggest the following (based on sp of 860) 1st Resistance: 884.0 2nd Resistance: 890.5 3th Resistance: 895.5 4th Resistance: 904.5 1st Support: 845.0 2nd Support: 796.0 3th Support: 654.0 4th Support: 629.5 1st Support at 845 is new, previously it was down at 800. Now it doesn't look like the sp is going to drop like a stone. The pull back in the copper price last night from just under 3.15 to 3.10 suggests to me the floor in the price has, for the moment, moved up - probably drop to 3.00 tonight having said that !! Lots of resistance above current sp, so will need the Copper price to push through its own resistance levels between 3.15 and 3.25 to get above 3.25 and maybe even move on to 3.30 before the sp will break through £9.00 and stay there. Looking more sideways than up to me at this precise moment, but overall uptrend is so strong. just my thoughts - GLA

The 3 sort of looks like an 8 if your eyes are no good, but there again we won't have 8 as the first number in the sp for much longer as it will be replaced by a sort of upside down 6 !

Absolutely right Lowrisktrader !! But, also beware of people saying crypto currencies are safe. They can get hacked, halve in value overnight, or simply dissappear. Not saying that they are not a good place to store wealh that is out of sight of everyone/anyone that might want to know what you have and what income you have, just saying they do have their risks and are not risk free. My rule of thumb is that anything on a computer can be seen by someone, somewhere who is cleverer than me. Back to gold bars under the bed !

I am not sure this is a good pick to short. They clearly have a product to sell, whether you like, hate it or just don't understand it. It will not take that much in turnover, with presumeably a high margin as it is software, to justify the current market cap. I am not saying this is going to be worth billions, but to put money on it being worth significantly less than it is now would seem to me to be an undue risk, especially when there are better options elsewhere.

If we have a blue day in the FTSE100 and 250 indexes tomorrow then I suspect Kaz will be over 850 by the close

Poor economic data in the USA at the end of the week may mean the Fed will allow the Dollar to slide a bit which means higher USD price for copper which may well reflect in a higher sp for Kaz. This is of course contrary to the received wisdom of last year when the pound slid and everyone celebrated earning more pounds for their income if receiving US Dollars Oh how the world turns !

Looking at the chart this morning copper might touch 3.075 today !

If you talk to UK patent attorneys they say don't bother for software applications. One or two might say to try and protect the flow and look of your software but this is more about copyright and design rights than patents. Of course one or two will say yes, but this is more about getting some fee's than anything else. For my money such ropey patents are about trying to minimise taxation through royalty payments from different regions. Same for the shareholding thing in California, I think it is just all about looking ahead and trying to keep contributions to government coffers (wherever) as low as possible. As long as they don't go down the road of head offices in the Cayman Islands then its all ok with me.

I have no doubt that we will get a tree shake in the near future, looking back I see about -10% as being a typical bottom of the shake. On ADVFN I get support and resisitance levels, they currently look like this; The calculations are based on yesterdays closing price of 793p 1st Resistance: 794.0 2nd Resistance: 800.0 3th Resistance: 833.0 4th Resistance: 839.5 1st Support: 654.0 2nd Support: 629.5 3th Support: 525.0 4th Support: 437.4 As we are already through the first two resistance levels I think you can say that today we are doing ok !!
