I see no reason to sell at the moment simply from the point of view that unless you bought very recently, ie above say £7.50 then there will be more than enough time to make a considered judgement about selling if the market backs off a little before it gets down to your entry level price. There is clearly no reason within the company for a poor or bad RNS, the recent reports show that we have at least 6 months of steady management / progress etc etc. The guidance is clear and may be expected to be met. Obviously the sp will drop if the price of copper goes down. Why would copper drop ? maybe some new capacity gets announced, anything else in the pipeline will already be in the price, or some global economic missfortune happens. I say sit tight, watch the price of copper, and enjoy the ride, there is not a better safe place for your money at the moment.

Have only been with Kaz in the last year or so, but when I look back in the past I see copper had pricing up to $4.5 per LB and can see that it has regularly traded at around $3.5 per Lb, so about 15% up on where it is now. Can anyone help with why copper reached the dizzy heights of $4.5 ? Does anyone think that the peak of $4.5 could be reached again ?

The future price for copper looks to be higher than the current apot price http://www.cmegroup.com/trading/metals/base/copper.html Above $3 per lb from Nov onwards. Suggests to me more upwards movement is on the way, perhaps past $3.2 by year end, meaning the sp will be up around £8

Spot price for copper recently got to 2.94/2.95 and the sp climbed to a high of over 740 before it fell back. Today the spot price appears to be 2.95/2.96 so could climb past the previous high, so maybe 750 in a day or so providing the copper price at worst stays where it is

Agree withthe direction of the prjections. Best thing at the moment is that all the forward projections for the copper price are bullish, with not a bear in sight.

Since the time point you mention there has been other events, such as strikes, good/poor economic news, step changes in the dollar value, etc that have influenced the spot price so I think a simple relationship between stocks and price would be difficult to find. I do think there is a strong relationship between the sp and the spot price.

I think the sp is principally influenced by the price of copper. Not much the BOD can do about that other than produce more product. Oops that what we are going to do this year as the new capacity comes online ! GLA

Any comments on what we might get ? Think we should see an increase in output.

5 times the number of shares, so 1/5 the value. Don't forget to factor in changes in oil and gas prices since those £3 projections. I guess that if it bottoms out at 4.5p and then sucessfully goes forward from here that anything above 10p has to be considered a sucess for the BOD. Personally I think aspirations of 30p are not unrealistic in the long term.

Looking at the spot price charts it seems to me that at the moment the Chinese market definitely buys copper each time it opens

Seems odd to me that the price of copper is dropping even supply is being constrained by some significant strikes etc. I know there will be a currency effect (point made earlier) if the dollar increases in strength and that is coming of a high, but it is not that high.. So, does the continued drop mean that demand is dropping as well - anyone have any recent figures. Or is it just speculation and it is not fundamentally going to move that far from the price level it is at ????

Broker reccomendations are there to cause market manipulation, or they don't know what they doing, you decide !! How else can you explain price targets from under £4 to nearly £7 from the same dataset. You wouldn't want them flying you London to Miami, unless you had your swiming shorts on !

Most probable risk is a currency shift causing a change (good or bad) in pounds earnt. Don't know well enoough how the subsidiary companies are arranged, but would think that trade barriers would be circumvented where possible, if it turns out to be an issue

So if tomorrow is also a good day for the sp and it gets back to around 580 / 590, then in the space of a few days we will have gone down and then back up 15% - a total swing of 30%, not bad for some I suspect. My little top up at 492p is looking good now, so I am not too dismayed.

If I compare KAZ to ASOS Yes, I know different sector, different market etc etc etc But, its all just money I see KAZ making twice the profit from half the revenue with revenue projected to increase faster than Asos due to mines coming online.
