I seem to remember that CyanConnode has covered/given reasons for this kind of RNS news release before and their reasons of client confidentiality/CyanConnode confidentiality, during the early stages of any contract award.

Hello tonyj,

CyanConnode has over recent years, along with its Partners, been delivering consistant IPv6 projects since 2018/2019, in Indore (2), Rajasthan (2) during 2020, Tamil Nadu, during 2020, Himachal Pradesh during 2021 and now Assam during 2022. The majority of which were outside/before the Empanelment Process.

Which should also tell us something about the CyanConnode and Partners solution/meters.

I also feel that it is the confirmation of a Trading Update Statement/2022 Finals Results, that is the reason for the somewhat muted responce by the Market, today.

But in the meantime, an order confirmation/extention, will surfice nicely.

But the Empanelment Process, seems to be progressing, one more than one front.

The Empanelment Process started during March 2022 I believe.

CyanConnode received the first order for Assam during May, 2022. UPPCL is installing a 4-G prepaid smart meter project, slated to start from July 1st, 2022.

BSES is starting a project in Delhi during October, 2022, whereby 5 million smart devices should be installed over a 2.5 year period. ( Inthetin.)

So although the Empanelment Process is still taking place and ongoing, the smart meter projects are also still being awarded.

What does this contract extention for Assam, from IntelliSmart for CyanConnode, tell us about the ongoing Empanelment Process?

Yes, some encouraging news concerning the Assam order extention and as you have inferred and I also agree with, we will have to wait and see what, if any, knock-on effect there will be from this contract extention.

But good news I feel.

From the RNS today, John Cronin, Executive Chairman of CyanConnode, commented:-

" We are delighted to have received this follow-on order from IntelliSmart, for the project in Assam, which we have been deploying with them. As previously announced, Intellismart is the first Service Provider to use the DBFOOT model and it has also installed the first smart prepaid meter in India under the RDSS ( Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme.)

So excellent progress is being made, concerning the Assam project.

Mr. Anil Rawal, MD & CEO of IntelliSmart, commented:-

" As our smart metering project is Assam gains momentum, we are pleased to place more orders in keeping with the LOI to meet the AMI requirements. IntelliSmart remains committed to meeting the milestones and successfully delivering the first RDSS smart meter project in the country."

........ extention order for Assam this morning, for 200,000 units is excellent news, and confirms the total running order for the Assam contract at the moment for CyanConnode, at 300,000 units.

I believe the reported initial total number of smart meters awarded to IntelliSmart during November 2021, was 600,000, so a reasonable number of that contract has translated into RF.

Well done to all concerned at CyanConnode and IntelliSmart.

Really. Life is full of surprises.

99.5% of the time we have a different opinion concerning CyanConnode related discussions, generally. But news will come in due course. Either initially, by Trading Update, or definitely via the 2022 Final Results, or other.

Well, we will have to see where we end up. We are, where we are at the moment, at circa 20% of the " ..... total installed base " of smart meters. According to the available figures in April 2022.

On April 4th, 2022, the Ministry of Power tweeted:-

" Over 4 million homes in India are now connected to a #SmartMeter. This is a huge accomplishment and takes us one significant step closer to a smarter future."

On April 5th, 2022, Anil Daulani tweeted:-

" A robust AMI needs a strong communications backbone for real time data requirement. Over 8.25 Lacs Smart Meters ( ~21% of the total installed base ) are successfully working on @CyanConnode RF mesh network, making it the largest and most experienced RF player in India."

So as India has only installed circa 4 million smart meters, as of 11th March, 2022 and CyanConnode and Partners had installed over 8.25 lacs on April 5th, 2022 - between 20% and 21% of the total installed base, at the time, the percentages seem pretty close to me.

That's the spirit. I knew we would get there in the end. And you have no idea how many questions I have asked over the years.

And tonyj is more than capable of asking a relevant question. That's the whole idea of a Q&A, whether it is at an AGM proper, or a remote presentation. You ask what yourself and others do not know or something that needs further clarification.

That's the way it works.

I really think it should be you. It isn't a problem for me. But it seems to be for you.
